I also have the OEM Led's and the lights with the Pnp Harness work as advertised.

Hey Troy,

What you're hearing has nothing to do with the parts (Harness, lights, etc.)

Some Halogen Equipped Jeeps will shut down the reverse light circuit when seeing more wattage than the factory halogen bulb.

This happens because the combined wattage at the tail light with the reverse lights is causing a canbus error. This is why the truck reverse light on the side of the harness also shuts down. Here’s a few different solutions to try:

  1. Switch the OEM tail-light reverse light bulbs to LED
  2. Remove the P&P Harness and tap in each reverse light into it’s respective side tail light’s wiring – Instructions here:
  3. **Most effective** If the Jeep is equipped with Tow Package – Tap both bumper reverse light RED wires into the WHITE/ORANGE wire and the at the 7-Pin Trailer Tow Harness at the hitch. Connect the bumper reverse lights BLACK wire to the BLACK wire at the same Trailer Tow Harness.
The issue I'm having is I have the blind spot monitor and it caused a "Service Monitor Sensor" error to pop up after a couple of days. I'm not sure they were working after the install but I had no error and loved the brightness of the lights. When the error popped up, it didn't dawn on me the cause was the Oracle lights and I needed to take the JT in for service anyway so had dealer check it. They unplugged the backup lights and said I couldn't use them with the blindspot monitor. I have the LED package as well and used the Oracle harness. I've emailed, filled out support form on web and called Oracle but haven't gotten a response. It's been a month or so now with new lights I can't use.

My blind spot monitoring is working fine.
Are you talking about oracle flush tail lights, or the back up lights for the bumper?

I'll give plugging them back in a try. If I had to do a lot of wiring I would think maybe I did something wrong but I have the Oracle harness and is plug and play.

Hey Rance,

These don't interfere with the BSM sensors at all. Double check the contacts and pin seating for the plugs on the P&P harness. Perhaps a pin came slightly unseated during install and just vibrated loose over time.

Was just about to post this, and check the pins and connections. My plug was a little harder to seat at first then I thought it should have been, but 2nd try snapped right in.

Thanks JP, I'll give it a look. I've been missing them since the dealer unplugged. They provide an awesome amount of light for backing up.

Let me know if I can be of more help!

Just an afterthought, but if you're still having trouble afterwards & have the tow package, just do away with the P&P harness and get reverse feed & ground from the tow hitch harness.

White/Orange = Reverse Feed
Black = Ground

I used the Curt 56584 harness to tap into the Reverse line on the Tow Plug wiring. It connects behind the bumper and prevents damage to the factory wiring.

Dealer is wrong - I have BSM, in fact I have every "safety" option you can get for these, I have LED and I have the Oracle harness.
Zero issues. Everything works perfectly fine - all monitoring, all of my lights, everything works. No error messages, nothing wrong.
All I can think of is that the Oracle harness has a wire crossed up in it or something. You need to make sure that pin one female goes to pin one male and so on -because many of us have these and they just plain work.

My bet - something wired wrong in the harness......check that the wires go straight through.

I am going to do this, I just got Curt harness. Do you remember what color wires the reverse and ground wires are that I would be tapping into by any chance? Im a newb when it comes to this stuff so any help would be great. I looked at the harness from Curt and there was no info on what wire was what. Thaks again
