Only if it's reported, and then I don't use those buying places anyway. They almost always have lowballed me on things. Accidents that do no damage other than a bumper are one reason I'm glad most don't get reported anyway.Car buying sites give less value for vehicles with accidents.
Like I've posted before - there's no agreed upon or automatic methods or criteria for reporting. Few independent shops report, many dealers do, but it's not required.
Will it even get reported to something like carfax? Most of the time not.My truck’s appraised damage was around $2k and I’ll be going after depreciation to my vehicle as well.
Seem that everyone assumes the future value will be lower - but that's not a given and only a craps shoot depending on if it even gets reported to carfax.
