No plans to lift my 2021 JTR. Run 35's yes, just not sure if I want to do it now or when it's time for new tires. I will put on a winch, replace my factory rock rails with something with more of a step built in and install an onboard air system. My hard wheeling jeep days are behind me and my plans are geared more to overlanding now.

I don't plain on lifting my JT. I mainly ride on beaches, and I have no issues. I do have take off Rubicon wheels and tires. My out look was colored by a 06 TJ with a lift that I had death wobble issues with.

I bought the Mojave its tall enough and Ill never rock crawl so no need to go any higher but man this things sails through forrest roads maintained and not maintained like a hot knife thru butter.
Agree with you on that, took some night shots at a fire tower. It just flew down the logging roads like they were paved.

It's not a "lift" but I ended up doing a front spacer to level the truck, and just get that bit of clearance. No change in suspension performance or road feel at all. Stock it was about 1.7" higher in back, I added a 1" front spacer.

I have a Rubicon, which its stock 33-ish inch tires (285/75-17). I may go one size up when they wear out, but unlikely to go as large as 35 because keeping the handling and quiet ride are priorities.

I dont plan to lift. I daily my JTR and I may go up to 35s (and then maaaybe regear) but this truck will see mostly snow more than rocks. I got it to overland and camp while also being my primary vehicle. I don't want to make it any more difficult for anyone to get in/out, nor do I need any more hits on MPG.

I did my first rock crawl this weekend and it did bottom out/scrape on the belly a little, but I was also following some Wranglers around and knew it would happen.

Not an intentional slight to Clayton but in my years as a Jeep owner, I had never heard of them until the Gladiator came out. Now everyone acts like they are the best of the best... have they been the suspension choice for some other vehicle brand all along?
Thought I might be able to give you the best answer to this! We've actually been making premium Jeep suspension systems for the past 20 years and have always had a great reputation in the industry, but we actually for a long time were more of the brand you discovered by word-of-mouth, sort of a well-kept secret if you will, because we didn't have the team or ability to promote our products online. We are still a small company, and still to this day design and build all of our products ourselves right here in our Connecticut warehouse! We stand by our products not only just by telling you that they're the best, but by continuing to offer our lifetime warranty against bending or breaking just like we always have from the start! This is truly a company built and ran by Jeep enthusiasts, whose main goal is to provide our customers with the best riding - most capable suspension systems on the market!

What was the reason you lifted your JT or why didn’t you lift it?

For me, I‘m trying to get my JT ready for some local trails before I challenge myself at MOAB.
I lifted mine and put on big tires because I 4wheel a lot and the long Gladiator needs more clearance. 3.5 inch lift, adjustable shocks, light set of 37" tires and rims, and 5:13 gears; and now it is a serious beast off-road. It is a night and day difference 4 wheeling.

I also think the Gladiators look way, way better lifted with big tires. Gas mileage and power have also been great with the 5:13s.

It is a lot of money, but, if you do it right, the Gladiator transforms into an even more incredible and attractive machine.

Note: when I bought my manual Rubicon Gladiator, I was not planning on lifting it, but, I did lift it after 1.5 years of ownership and I love it even better now. I have been 4wheeling a lot before and after the lift and tires and Like I mentioned, the capabilities difference is huge.

No lift. 1. Retirement daily driver. 2. Not doing aggressive off roading. Just 1.5 level and bigger tires 285/75/17 and 1" wider wheels with better offset. With the 2" taller tires and the level, it sits just right. My wife is 5' tall so with this setup I was able to run side steps that don't drop below the frame but has enough clearance for what I need.

I haven't lifted mine. I got the Max Tow package and part of that is the unique progressive rear springs. Not that I plan to ever tow anything over 3500-4000lbs, but I do use a hitch carrier for my dirtbike and like the functionality of those springs.

However, I did install a set of Rubicon fenders so that I could bump up to a 35" tire without needing a lift. That was cheaper and easier than adding a full lift kit and then kept the features of the Max Tow package that I wanted.

Also, I haven't had any clearance issues yet on the trails I've run. But, I much prefer the minimum maintenance roads/fire road/forest roads to the tight technical trails anyway (I save the tough stuff for the dirtbike...). We'll see what happens in the future though. I'm not opposed to a lift kit (had one on a previous JKU), I just haven't needed one yet on the JT.

My wife is 5'2" and I'm 5'6" with a 28" inseam. Lifting isn't in the cards until I buy new sliders w/ steps.

I actually ended going with Rusty’s 2” advanced due to price/value and I’m pretty happy. Clayton makes great stuff and the word has gotten out. I had personal experience with Clayton 20 years ago on TJ and an XJ.

I’m more interested in adjustable reservoir shocks and higher quality suspension than in actually raising the vehicle so I’m only going as high as necessary to fit 35s on a Sport with full articulation. In theory, by the time I’ve got adjustable control arms and track bars, the changing height should just be a matter of springs and bump stops if I ever want to change anything… and a new drive shaft if I want to go nuts. But honestly, if I ever feel the need for 37s, I’d probably change the fenders before touching the suspension again.
