What is everyone using to deflate / inflate their tires?

I went cheap but it seems super reliable. I have Staun knockoffs which are sold as Rugged Ridge but I forget who made them. I run the Falkens at 18 psi most often and the deflators are pretty consistent. I also have a Maxitrac deflator to drop the pressure lower or to loan someone else if needed. I’m also using the Maxitrac dual compressor. I’m super impressed with it for $120. I did replace the original chuck and gauge with a digital ARB to make it easier to check pressure during inflation. It inflates from 18psi to 38psi in about 30 seconds per tire iirc. I’ve only used it a dozen times or so but so far no issues.

Same here. Reduces deflation and inflation by a multiple of 4…I think? Public school education. Leave me alone. Also I use this for inflation. Easy enough cheaper than installing “onboard” air and way cheaper than ARB.

I pieced together a diy 4-tire inflate/deflate air hose system. I considered installing the lines on board with quick connects at each wheel well. But the external hose allows me to share it with others and still connect it to a future onboard compressor.

Made plenty of friends loaning this out at the trailhead and tire filling station.

Don't listen to this guy. I bought a pen and that pump and went deep into the wilderness solo. It's 8:33pm and I am reinflating my first tire. Been at it 2.5 hours and only gone from 11 to 13 psi. At any rate, I should have some strong calf muscles when this is over.

The pen worked OK but on tire 3 the pen exploded and my entire face is covered in ink.

Homemade 4 tire inflate/deflate pieced together from:
Amazon - Locking air chucks, Staun knockoffs
HFT - air hose, pressure gauge, valve
Ace Hardware - all other fittings, connectors and 4 way manifold.

Staun knockoff deflators were def not as good, but acceptable considering 1/4 of the price. My only complaint would be that you have to recalibrate after 4-5 times using them. Not that big of a deal, since I keep my spare at around 19 psi to fit in the carrier. After trying a few different methods of deflating, I found that if I simply added an open/close valve to an open channel on the manifold, I could deflate entire system very quickly. I had a 5gal air tank connected which was great, but too bulky. I’m considering a 7l med oxygen tank as a replacement if I can adapt to connect to the system….it’s considerably smaller and will give me more mounting options.

After I finish the air tank, I’ll add a pressure switch to shut off system at desired psi and possibly mount connectors to inside of wheel wells so I just have to connect 4 smaller whips.

I removed mine. It's less than meh. Didn't do the job at all. I still have the ARB single compressor installed; debating how I want to use it.

DIY 4 Tire Deflator/Inflator

I have some cheapie screw-on deflators I got as a door prize years go. Work fine.

The Gladiator has OBA. Made a bracket that mounts an electric compressor and small air tank under the body, ahead of the muffler. Activated by one of the dash switches and a pressure switch. Inlet is tucked up between the bedsides about at the top of the flare. Outlet uses a factory hole in the rear of the bed (standard air coupler). Works fantastic. I keep 20' of PVC airline and a nice air chuck w/ gauge in a tote (with other tools) in the bed.

Currently I use the Tazer's TireFill feature to air down and air up along with a twin ARB compressor. It's quite easy to do with the way the lights blink. No need to look at gauges, just unclip when it's solid.

I have an UpDownAir kit in the garage. Just haven't gotten around to installing it.

Yup it just clamps on to the batter terminals.

On a budget so Real 4x4 brass deflator Amazon $35, Kobalt inflator $80 at Lowe’s. Both work great for me.

I am also wanting to do this one a budget as it is not something I will be using that often. I am considering the Kobalt inflator, any issues with it? Do you just plug it into the cigarette lighter outlet on the dash?

Easy as pie for me and my stock diameter tires - just set it and sit inside for a few minutes until it stops at the right psi. Might take a while for huge tires, though.
