That's a feature, not a bug! When your gokart has to thread through the rocks and the trees, narrow is nice! I much prefer my YJ without doors, and will roll a window down in anything but sleet, because I have to hunch my shoulders otherwise, but it is SO nice offroad to be smol!

Pretty cool!
While I enjoyed the heck out of my TJ, I was always cramped in it. It’s really a small vehicle. I always told everyone it was like driving a go cart

Always loved the Brute, but never could get those lottery numbers to align to be able to afford one.

The Brute bumpers are pretty sweet. Any idea if they are custom or purchased ready-made?

I have always loved the Brute. Wish I had kept my '05 TJR and had it converted when AEV still sold the kits. Wish Jeep would get off their A** and produce the J6 as it is a no brainer for an offroad pickup. I still have my '95 Chevy S10 ZR2 regular cab short bed that is similar in size to the Brute and is a blast to wheel off-road but it is no Jeep. The S10 is getting tired and many replacement parts are no longer made by GM. The J6 would be the perfect replacement.

My brother just picked up the sick AEV Brute, Ls 6.0, super clean truck and well built. What’s everyone’s thoughts on the Brute?

so what’s the tire/lift setup on the Rubicon?

If someone offered me a *CLEAN* brute that was V8 powerd and had similar mods and mileage to my JT I would trade straight up in a heartbeat.

I drove a TJ for years 4"lift manual and 33"s its a fine DD
I’m DD‘ing my TJR with 33s and 3” of lift now. Weekly 250 mile treks to Philadelphia and back. She’ll get weekend toy status next month when my Mojave comes in.

That Brute with a V8 and manual gearbox, though… wow, that’s my dream rig.

Yep, a 2 door wrangler or pickup is a great DD unless you have kids. Hell, a two door wrangler is still good with kids, just not optimal. Agreed on that LS/MT setup.

The Brute is awesome, I love my LJR and still use it as a DD with a ~3" lift and 33s/4.88. I see Brutes around Montana a fair amount, where AEV was building them when the Brute TJ was produced. The major power company here bought them for the powerline access trails since a full-size is useless where it can't fit. The Brute is a big reason I sold my Taco and am waiting for my JT to show up.
