I’ve seen some DRLs that look like they’re two squares side by side and some DRLs that are two longer rectangles stacked on top of each other. Is one halogen and the other LED? My Sport S with LED package has the stacked rectangles and it looks like LEDs in a line inside but they aren’t the brightest. Window sticker doesn’t include LED DRLs. Trying to figure out what the OEM LED DRLs look like to decide if I want to upgrade when someone sells theirs.

EDIT. I have LED DRLs but now the question is what is different on higher models than Sport models for the LED Front Turn Signal and Parking Lamps?

Thanks for this. I think I have factory LEDs on my 2022 but wasn’t expecting them. I’ll have to recheck the order guide and everything. Mine look like photo 2 and the color matches my LED fogs and headlights.

Ok, apparently I was confused. LED daytime running lamp accents came with my package but the higher models have a different LED package that comes with LED PARK TURN LAMPS (LCT). The LED park turn lamps are not available on SPORT S. I wonder if this is just a different bulb in the outside turn signals?

I believe that on a Sport, the LED package WITH painted fenders does get you the LED park and turn lamps. The unpainted fenders still get halogens.

The fender LED DRLs dim when the ebrake is engaged. They are full brightness with the ebrake lever lowered/when driving. You may have noticed this already but maybe that's why you're seeing them dim?

I am surprised at the various configurations with the head lamps, turn signals and DRL's so I can't say what your configuration is. However, I can say that "just a different bulb" sounds way to easy.

Yeah it's a bit bonkers.

I did not know this. I'll have to check this out.

Now I'm trying to figure out what the LED Front Turn Signal and Parking Lamps additional feature is on higher models that doesn't come on Sport S.

Is your Gladiator a sport model? Did you switch the halogen drls out to factory leds? I’ve been wanting to do this and I have the tazer for coding but wasn’t sure if they would be a direct fit.

I was able to get fenders off a Rubicon that included the factory LED turn signals and running lights. The harness on the Rubicon fenders was a direct fit. With a Taser or remapping at the dealer you can program for the new LED's.

It looks like in picture one, the drivers side fender has the factory halogen WHITE DRL, but the passenger side fender looks like you replaced white with a AMBER halogen DRL. Am I seeing it right?

It sure looks that way. However, the front passenger has the factory halogen DRL and the driver side has the LED DRL replacement bulb. Photo one is a good example of how much brighter and cleaner the LED is compared with the halogen light.

Wow that's quite the difference! thank you.

How did you wire the Halo's? it would be sweet to have them wired into the factory DRL's rather than off the fuse panel... Is there a DRL specific wire on the harness for the factory halogen headlights?

Thanks for this. I think I have factory LEDs on my 2022 but wasn’t expecting them. I’ll have to recheck the order guide and everything. Mine look like photo 2 and the color matches my LED fogs and headlights.
Also - for the OP and others. I think these LED's for the lower model Sport S is highly dependent on availability. Example. 1 week before I had submitted an official build to order for my Sport S that is almost fully optioned out, I was at the dealer to do a 'build' and see what their price was and discuss options as they appeared weird on the website. At that time, the LED package WAS available on the Sport S - naturally I chose it. The next week when I went back to actually place the official order I was told the LED package was no longer available on the Sport S even though it showed up on Jeep's website..... I actually prefer the look of the halogens up front and plan to install a amber LED for both the fender turn signal and fender DRL and use halo's from the Oracle LED headlamps as the DRL's. To make it even more confusing - they had a Sport S sitting on the lot with LED's.

Anywahoo - no idea why this was the case. But I think it has to do with availability or something at that time. The dealer said that was a common theme with other things on other vehicles too not just specific to Jeep. Just in case this adds to more confusion.

Here is another example. My coworker's dad has a '21 or maybe a '20 Rubicon. He also has the Max Two package. Yes...on the Rubicon. So the door sticker reflects higher payload and max towing. Of course, now, Max Tow is ONLY available on the Sport S even though it is 'listed' as available on the Altitude. Weird...
