Because I read this forum I feel like I am driving a time bomb!
I only have 2000 miles on sport S Max tow and love it, but it's like I am dating a hot chick and just waiting for her to leave. Probably a bad analogy.
Here is the point is there a data base, spread sheet and or survey about milage and no problems and problems. I bet this forum has scared off some people because bad news gets all the press. Just imagine a spread sheet with miles every 5 or 10k stating no problems or what problem you have had. Man I am really hoping this fire cracker red hot chick is a keeper.
38,000 on my 2020 Glad Rubi and not one problem.

Even with the increased level of complication, vehicles built today are still leaps and bounds better than what was built 20+ years ago.

Forum membership numbers and what is posted is not a good correlation to draw broad conclusions from. I would speculate that over half the membership has less than 10 posts with the lions share 1 post or none.

Many join just to be one post chumps to bitch and then leave.
Isn’t the most famous thread here a 1 post chump? Lol ?

The only issue I have had with my Gladiator (took delivery July, 2019) was a leak around the rear window of the hard top. They graciously resealed the window under warranty but, because they couldn't get all the water out, they are replacing the roof.

Other than that, not a single mechanical issue.
I’m glad I live in the desert! ?

It's a forum that's what they are for people to complain. 44,497 miles on my 2020 Max tow and only had the third brake light replaced under warranty. Also had the steering box replaced but mine was fine but went ahead and had them swap the aluminum one for the steel one under warranty. Other than that, all has been great.
Man, I just realized my Third Brake light was out today. Guess that’ll be my first warranty issue after 2 years as well ??‍♂
I’m running the aluminum steering box still, was debating on having them do that fix while they fix the third brake light.

Here’s my take op…

take care of her and she will take care of you. The more you throw at her the better she will become and better she will reward you.

and people wonder why I’m single?!?!?
The only useful thing I learned as a Marine mechanic: PM today or repair tomorrow

Did they fix that for 2022? My JTR order goes in tomorrow

What I'll say is, no one asks for help or complains when everything is going right. I don't know how many of any particular model or any engine/model combination Jeep has sold, but I think it's a minuscule number of people who have had things go wrong. The problem is if you're the one person that has something go wrong 50 miles off road, that could be a very dangerous (and expensive) situation. If something goes wrong in your RAV4 at the mall, you just call AAA.
When everything's working right people talk about mods they're making.

That's when I had mine done. I didn't need it, mine drove fine but I told my dealership I wanted it done and they ordered it. It's not gonna make it worse and I just figured I'd do it just in case. It did tighten the steering a little.

since i can't always suppress a mild superstitious streak, i won't jinx myself by telling you that my 2020 jtr has seen half a dozen rocky trail rides, a couple weeks on the beach, and a bunch of road miles with nothing more than oil changes and tire rotations...

wait, sh!t.

It's so hard to justify spending money on a truck that's running and driving fine. I mean - how do I tell my wife "I need xxxxx" when we take it everywhere we go and there's nothing wrong with it?

So in that respect, I guess I'm complaining about mine:
Dang thing, there's nothing wrong with it! Crap. Nothing to do or fix.

See? That's what the OP is talking about.
Just messing with him. Well.... sort of. I had that motor in a Ram 1500 and thought all the bad talk and fires was just hype and people exaggerating, then it happened to me too. So my advice to anyone with the Eco diesel is to try not to worry too much, enjoy the mpg, but keep an extinguisher just in case.
