MOPAR WINDSHIELD MADE WITH CORNING GORILLA GLASS WARRANTY Mopar Windshield Made with Corning Gorilla Glass has a 2-year limited (from date of install), unlimited-mile warranty, which provides for labor and parts needed to repair or replace your windshield under certain conditions. Mopar warrants your windshield from damage associated with road debris such as pebbles or other small objects which may cause initial damage larger than a US quarter (1 inch/25mm) and less than 3 inches/7.6 cm. Larger instances or smaller blemishes, along with the subsequent cracking that may be caused by not repairing them, are not covered by this warranty. Dealer requires proof of purchase and windshield will only be repaired or replaced under the warranty once within the warrantable period. WHAT IS NOT COVERED: Damage caused by any other force such as an accident, large debris, fraud, falling objects or other acts of God are not warrantable. The damage from road debris referred to in this section is warrantable notwithstanding other provisions in the Mopar warranty. Additional exclusions may apply.
That is almost the same warranty as the HGP glass..

Road Debris Protection for your HyperformanceĀ® Tough Windshield
In addition to warranting our Covered Products against defects in workmanship and materials, HGP warrants your HyperformanceĀ® Tough Windshield from damages occurring within two years from your purchase date, caused by road debris which causes initial damage larger than 25mm and less than 76mm. Larger or smaller instances of damage, as well as subsequent cracking that may be caused by not repairing damage, are not covered under this Limited Warranty. Windshield replacement installation costs (labor and sealant) are limited to $125 USD per approved claim.
HyperformanceĀ® Glass Products are warranted against defects in workmanship or materials for two years and unlimited miles when purchased directly from HGP or one of our authorized distributors.

Same thing happened to me!! No cracks, Chios, nothing. Turned on the heater for the first time and snap, cracked from the bottom up. I called the dealer and they just took photos and sent them to stellantis and they sent a replacement a few weeks later. Took about 3 weeks to get mine replaced.

25mm is about 1"
It's an extremely limited warranty to be sure. It has to be larger than 25mm - so if you get a small rock hit that is 20mm and the glass subsequently cracks, you are screwed.
Most are actually 3/4" or so. Every windshield break I've ever had was caused by a rock that impacted the glass and left a mark under 1" so none of mine would have been covered even through they all broke due to it.

Larger or smaller instances of damage, as well as subsequent cracking that may be caused by not repairing damage, are not covered
So if a rock hits and the impact damage is 3/4" and like my Ford, in hours, before any repair was possible, it cracked clear across the left half, no coverage. If it is a 1" hit and it cracks in an hour or two - you aren't covered.
In short, the warranty is worthless as tits on my male cats.
Boy, they sure have that very carefully calculated and worded. They've really thought it out well.
I'd bet every member here who has had a damaged windshield would not be covered by that warranty.

From?

Once I dug into the fine print, it was not a warrantable item for Mopar, and Jeep only warranted for factory defects.
The dealer. Well mine cracked in half when I put heat on it for the first time so I don’t know. Mine was definitely a defect but I had absolutely no damage or rock chips on a brand new vehicle. I called them, they took photos of it and replaced it a few weeks later.

I’m in this boat right now. It cracked when I turned the defroster, there have been zero stones thrown up that hit my windshield. I’ve had it happen before, know how it sounds etc… I called the dealer and they said they would replace it. I want to ensure it’s not too cold out for the adhesive to work well. For now I’m using Gorilla tape to hold my Gorilla glass together and hoping it doesn’t leak.

Good luck!! Yeah first time I used the defroster and I was driving for like 20 minutes with it on and I’m in a parking lot and it just popped and cracked. Scared me lol.
