Jeep saved my life today

So long story short. I was involved in a serious head on collision this morning while driving to work. The other driving crossed into my lane on a semi blind corner. Not sure why as I have no answers (fell asleep /distracted or impaired). I was able to walk away from the accident, opening my door and attempting to comfort the other driver. He was pinned and trapped in his Tahoe. He ended up being heli lifted to a nearby hospital. He will be ok. Im ok, just damn sore and beat up. No photos yet, but if I can I will post some up. The police were impressed how the Jeep did compared to the Tahoe. All in all, I’m lucky to be at home tonight with my family. I will buy another Gladiator.

Someone had a video on Facebook of a Gladiator rear ending a stopped 1 ton flatbed at highway speed.

I was thoroughly impressed.

What mods did you have that could add or subtract from crash worthiness? Lift, bumper, etc......

2.5” front .75” rear spacer lift, 34” tires, front rubicon steel bumper with warn evo 10s. Thats it. And its a diesel (if that matters).

Honestly the steel bumper winch and Diesel engine probably did help. That’s a bunch O mass! Compare to the tin and plastic front end of the T HO. Good thing your with us today.

Glad you are okay. Couple days after the accident is usually the worst.
I had a Tahoe save my ass a year ago in a T-bone, so interesting to hear that it did poorly.
But I am happy to hear the Jeep did well, and most important you walked away.

my pics of my old 2019 Tahoe for reference, my seat got a little smaller. Ram 2500 ran a stop sign into me.
