Check out Cross CJDR in KY.

Psst….he’s Canadian eh. Importing’s probably annoying at best.

LOL
I'm sure there's a Canadian Cars. Com

Or perfect time to immigrate and get away from Trudeau.

You can import, but you have no warranty coverage. It also has to be modified so the DRL's are on all the time.

Same dealer has a JT rubicon ED but with less options and they want $8k more. Thats why im looking at the Wrangler. Dealers up here know JT ED are hard to come by especially in Rubicon trim. We will see.

I'm not sure that's true. I imported a Jetta TDI and the warranty was covered (mind you, this back in 2009).

OP- I would check with FCA/Stellantis/Jeep/Chrysler Canada (what are they called now?) on that.

I wouldn’t bother as the taxes to bring it over border arent worth it plus mph speedo would drive me nuts. Resale value on american cars up here suck too.

Fello Canuck here. I have imported one vehicle and regularly buy car and Jeep parts in the States and bring them over the border myself.

You'd pay the same taxes as if buying it here. Whatever the taxes you pay in your province is what you'll pay. They do the calculations on the exchange rate, then charge the applicable tataxes. Depending on what kind of deal you get in the states It could actually work out to be cheaper than buying in Canada. Lots of factors of course.

You can change the units in the display.

I'm not sure about the American vehicles being worth less. I can't attest to anything, but I really don't think that correct.

Regardless, if you don't want the hassle, I get it, just trying to help add options.

Depends on the manufacturer. If the us subsidiary is different than the Canadian subsidiary, warranty won't transfer. I think we've seen it the other way around, where Canadian JTs imported to the US were not warrantied.

Have you driven it? The 3.6l e torque with the lighter weight might drive pretty well.

Waiting until I feel better to drive it. Sales guy is calling today so I can secure it with a $500 refundable deposit. My insurance company might need another week to get the ā€œappraisalā€ completed.
But yeah I agree. My 20’ JT 35ā€ wasnt terrible to drive, I actually thought it drove better than my Jk 3.6 with the old 5 speed and 4.88 with 37ā€. Had I sprung for gears I might have kept it. I think the 400lb lighter weight , 4.56 and etorque it could be alright. Just need to drive it and see for sure. The 3.6 is great reliable and inexpensive platform, so thats the draw for me. Absolutely loved that diesel power and performance but my recent oil change was still $200 (3x the cost of gasser) plus $45 in DEF and about $100 in diesel fuel additives (which i still have in my garage lol). We will see.
