Jeep Gladiator Brute

So I was driving on the freeway this morning 3/1/2022 and quickly noticed this. For you hardcore Jeep historians, what’s the story on the brute models? Is this the 2005 prototype? What’s the specs on this trim vs current JTR?

The Brute was an aftermarket conversion by AEV. They now customize Gladiators and Wranglers with their own parts. They sell parts as well. Real nice stuff but $$$$. They started doing the conversions with TJ's. (or maybe before)

No, actually a little longer. There was a piece added to the center of the JKU frame.

2 dr Brute is kick ass, 4 door brute is just a basic JT with some bolt on goodies.

Its quite literally the reason the Gladiator is here today. The Brutes and the JTs are very similar. They've been around since the TJ.

Yup, very rare 4 door AEV Brute, they only made about 300 AFAIK. Basically a JK Gladiator.

I wanted one of these back in the day. Wait until you find out how much it costs. Makes JTs look like a bargain.

I was just looking at them online and price was 100k range! And that pre-Covid price. I’m grateful to the hardcore Jeep fans they made the JT possible.

I kinda think that AEV does R&D occasionally for MOPAR Jeep. Some of AEVs stuff seems to make its’ way into MOPAR Jeep and Dodge offerings.
