I would think if you run a big negative offset the tire would hit the edge of the fender when it is compressed instead of tucking into the wheel well.

How about full articulation?
I can't say full articulation because I haven't flexed mine out all the way but I had plenty of room on mine with a 2.5" readylift SST lift kit and Rubicon front springs. Probably got 3-1/4 inches of lift total. I'm running 1-3/4 inch wheel spacers now because I want some poke. A buddy and I removed.the front spacers because I was considering running my stock wheels with no spacers but after doing it and seeing how it looked I opted to keep the spacers installed. I mean you got more room on a Rubicon because of the taller flares as well. The only thing you got to worry about is that lower control arm.

I'm at the dealership now getting my oil changed and tires rotated. I'm gonna have them remove the wheel spacers and ride around a little without the wheels poking and see how I like it. I'll snap some pictures for reference after it's done, before and after.

Honestly my taste may have changed, I'm digging the new look. It may track a little better as well

Since I'm only putting on 305/70 17s and the Mopar 2" lift to decrease weight I'm sure it won't be a problem. I will probably go to 35s and 4.56 gears at some point. I just need the damn jeep! I did get my letter from Jeep Wave, for whatever that's worth.

Thanks for the information. I'll post about the suspension and tire size at some future point.

You will definitely be ok with that size tire. I ran 315 70 17 no issues as well same as a 35 but a little wider than the 35 12.5 17 but I had the itch for 37's

I’ve fully flexed my JTRD running true 37 x 11.5 tires with 2.5 RC front and 0.75 Daystar rear spacer lift on OEM wheels running 1.5” wheel spacers without any rubbing.

I took off my wheel spacers and immediately had rubbing on the control arms. Spacers are back on!

I assume running 34s with the Mopar 2" lift I should be fine, given what everyone is saying here.

If you want to tuck inside the stock fenders and still have a bit of poke I suggest a (your choice) x9 wheel and +12-+18 offset . It will tuck and clear a 12.50 on a stock arm or aftermarket arms with a clearance bend.
You can clear bigger rubber 13.50 or 38s but it gets tight at the lca on lock. I started out with 37x12.50 on a 17x9 +18, worked great. Now running same wheels with 38x13.50 and it's right at the lca on lock . Honestly I would recommend going with a 17x8.5 0 offset as it only moves you out another 1/2" and picks up 3/4" ish on the backside. This will allow for future growth in the tire size and steering dept.

Is the diesel lower control arms different from the gasser control arms. I'm running stock 17x7.5 wheels with 37 12.5 17 Kanati Trail hog Tires and I have no rubbing at all. Full lock to both sides. Did 2 u turns on the way home just to make sure one more time. I am running 2.5" Readylift SSt Spacer lift with Rubicon springs up front so that setup should be pretty similar to yours. Not sure why it would be hitting the lower control arms. Are sure it was hitting the skid plate?

They measured 36.5" when I had them mounted. I done a video showing them at full lock. They are about .7" taller than my buddies BFG KO2 37 12 5 17 he is running.

I run 0 offset and really like it. Its wide enough to let me ride the sidewalls and keep the fenders and body off stuff if i need to, but not so wide that its ripping the paint off the side of the truck.
