So that leaves me with the post title question. Why do aftermarket wheels look so decidedly aftermarket?
I think it's because they cover them in their logos. I hate being a walking (or rolling) advertisement. All of my shirts and hats are completely blank. I have always told the dealerships to either take off their ugly tags or knock the price down $500 more dollars if they want me to advertise for them. They've never taken me up on that.

Been window shopping, playing with the idea of getting 8.5 or 9 inch wide wheels so I can fit 37s. But one of the major problems I keep running into is I just don't like most aftermarket wheels. The willys wheels are probably my favorite of the stocks, with the simplicity of the mojaves being a close second.

I like the fiften52 analog hds, but they aren't the right offset I want. The method 703s are the perfect offset, and definitely less on the aftermarket looking side, but still look aftermarket a little.

I want my truck to look like it came from the factory with 37s, not like I modified it.

So that leaves me with the post title question. Why do aftermarket wheels look so decidedly aftermarket?
I like what black rhino is offering. Especially since my Gladiator is Gobi!

I was in the same boat and I’ve always loved swapping nicer factory wheels onto whatever vehicle I have. It’s my wife’s Gladiator and is 98% street driven. We went with the 20” High Altitude Wheels. Absolutely love the clean look and I will eventually up the tire size to give it more sidewall, but these tires are like brand new, so it’ll be a while.

100% agree, on both how nice they look, and how badly they need tires with more sidewall

I mean, when you're dropping $300+/wheel I'm definitely not picking something that looks like what I had, to each their own though.

My favorite wheel design is the American Racing Ansen. I haven't found a 17" in that style.

2nd favorite is the BBS LM. 3rd is the chrome Crager 5-spoke. But those two won't look the best on a Jeep, imo.

I think my favorite for the Jeep is Methods.

The coal-rolling bro-lift aftermarket wheels are definitely targeting the right audience.

I agree. Here’s mine with 37’s on stock wheels. I love the look. 1.75” spidertrax spacers and zero rub at full articulation.

If they made a steel wheel with an offset that would tuck, that's what I'd run. My Jeep is flashy enough, being nacho. I just want a nice plain Jane wheel that's a little wider than stock. I like what AEV and Quadratec offer. Depending on your build and your base color, many of the aftermarket wheels are just too flashy.

those are recon wheels at +11 offset? If so are you running 12.5 width tires and would you mind taking a picture down the fenders to show the poke? Cause i love those wheels (look AND price) but i'm unsure going with any less offset than 25 until I see poke photos. My goal is just the sidewalls bulging past the flares, but a hint of shoulder wouldn't kill me.
