What tires are those?

Nokian Rotiva AT, LT315/70/17
I've got 1k miles on them now in snow, ice, water, and dry. I should do a write up. But they are great tires.

thats what i thought! Ive wondered about them as a brand. I alwasy wrote them off as an off-brand tire and never given them any thought. But ive seen them advertised along side big name brands more recently, making me wonder.

Actually they are far from off brand, but they've moved into some new segments such as AT tires.

I used them for winter tires for years on other cars/SUVs. In my opinion, they are the best winter tires around period. These Rotivas caught my eye a few years ago but I stuck with KO2s on my Rams and Jeeps. Finally tried them this time and I am absolutely impressed. Quiet on highway (most of my use) and were really amazing in snow/ice. Literally felt like they were sticky to the surface. Rain last week was no issue at 80mph. I ran up a dirt hill to check the feel and the traction was great. I'm not planning any rock crawling. Aside from the fact I got a killer deal on them, these were actually made in Finland not one of their other plants. If you're considering a highway friendly dirt capable tire I would recommend these for sure. And these are D rated tires for extra load too.

Just finished putting on a 3.5” Rough Country lift with Vertex coil overs. Also changed out the wheels and tires with Method Wheel 307s and 35” BFG KO2s
Came out nice.

I’ve got the exact same lift with the exact same remote reservoir shocks, but still rolling on 33s as that’s all my budget allows. Been debating whether to settle with 35s or open an additional can of worms by moving to 37s. These 35s look good, though.

Did you have to adjust the steering stops or do anything to avoid hitting the shocks at full lock?

No, Nothing like that was done. Everything fit perfectly.

I am noticing at higher speeds the truck doesn't shift between gears as nice, and remains in lower gears. Also the speedometer may need to be calibrated. So looking at re-gearing. I did notice a large (for me) decrease in MPG. 1.4 avg.

However, I love it and do not regret it at all.

It just occurred to me that you also have aftermarket wheels so they’ve probably got a different backspacing from what I’ve got. I had to shim the steering stops, but no big deal. If I get 35s, I’ll probably need aftermarket wheels anyway.

Added new water line/propane line to feed our camplux heater and made a mount for the roof rack for when we are camped.

Have the TuffStuff shower awning but waiting for my JCR roof rack awning brackets (long lead times). Also picked up the kickass offroad shower basin/drain. Looking forward to a trip this weekend hopefully to stretch the legs prior to our long summer trips.

Installed? So I havent gone on the highway yet but at 50mph it does direct the wind on to the sunrider top. It is some what noisey but I will try playing with the angle of the lights when I have time. If someone has these lights and figured a way to minimize the wind noise, please let me know. But honestly, idc? these lights are awesome!!
