24hr Mojave owner here!
Thinking of grabbing some 315/70/17 Ridge Grapplers and forgot to ask if Discount Tire does anything like giving you credit for your new take-offs.
I’d love to avoid Facebook classified and love to recoup some expense of the brand new tires.
Thanks!

Depends on the discount tire and the popularity of the take off tire. They told me it has to be sold as used.

They gave me some credit for mine, but not too much.

You’re better off on craigs list or Facebook marketplace. I’ve never had an issue selling tires. I sold my falken AT’s off my rubicon, with 11k miles for $600.

oh wow! Didn’t realize they’d pull that kind of money. These 285/70/17 have 200mi… if I could get some decent money for them I would definitely do it.

Quoted $1930 for 5 at Discount

Watch for sales. 4 wheel parts got me 5 37x12.5x17 Mickey Thomsons for 1600. You’ll sell those tires easily, even with some miles on them. I did rotations early and documented the miles so they’d be in great condition when I took them off. Went to a young couple going to larger tires on a four runner.

You just have to value the hassle. Or keep them in the event you trade down the line.

I’ll keep things for future trades, but tires don’t last that long stored. I’d rather dump them early for as much as possible, But to each their own. Tires are super easy to sell.

I got $120 each for my 31.5” Bridgestones here at a Houston Discount Tire. I was pretty surprised. They had about 12k miles
That’s totally reasonable. And zero hassle.

I totally agree. I was expecting like $50-80 so when $120 came out of the sales rep’s mouth, I was like “Take my money!” Lol.

6 months later and I’m looking to trade my 33s in for 35s ??‍♂

I sold my 5 for 600 private party, but that’s way easier.

That is reasonable at $120. These having 250mi, I probably should be doing pretty good.

Persuasive comments… maybe I’ll just order hah.
Anyone regret their 35’s? Another stupid question…

That’s a big loaded question. :) prepare for gearing and fender suggestions you’ll never be able to stop.
