Holy toledo, my harley sportster mirrors threaded right in there too. I was using them in the hinge but I always worried about damaging the bottom of the hinge insert when I tightened the nut at the bottom. I think I like this better.

Here's what I'm using if someone wants a different look. Little more then $4 but I already had them, and given how many options there are for sportster mirrors you could get rather creative in what you pick. I can only verify these had the right thread/pitch, but I imagine it should be standard among harley mirrors:

Interesting - could you share a pic if you get a chance?

All that and no pictures??? Let’s see how they look and how much slant towards the rear to get a good line of sight.
I’m curious if there is enough adjustability on these motorcycle mirrors to make them actually useful, not just legal.

Here you go. It's a cold day in Cleveland so the doors are on. I'm not positive how much of that passenger mirror I'll be able to see from the driver seat without removing a door and testing, but it looks close to where it was when I had it hinge mounted.

Thanks, picked a pair up, worth having even if doors off is just on occasion
I did it once or twice without mirrors, it's scary. Don't know how people do it on a regular basis with no mirrors. Wrangler it's a little easier to turn your head and see I suppose, but on the Gladiator the bed creates a heck of a blind spot on the passenger side, even if you turn your head all the way around.

My local Oriellys only had one. But out the door for $4.23. I bent the rod to make it closer to the body. Works great on the highway!

They'll match their own online price if you show them? Excellent!

I ordered these scooter mirrors for $3.99 each (no seriously, the shipping was more than the mirrors). Finally got to try them out last week when I took my doors off for the first time. They are absolutely fantastic, I cannot fathom paying any more. They thread right into the cowl panel holes when you remove one of the bolts. You'll see a white nylon spacer in there, I only put that in to keep from scratching the paint around the recess with my little adjustable. 30 second install. Did a 4+ hour trip at 70+ on the highway and they are nice and stable.

The one on the passenger side is a little obstructed by the dash but still usable. But even if you're not worried about using it, it keeps you legal for your municipality. The driver's side one functions perfectly.

If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one (or two) up.
- paraphrased from Ferris Bueller

The same mirrors are available anywhere but I can't see paying a stratospheric $7.99 when Autozone has them for $3.99:

I had a buddy back in the 60s that had an MB with the same kind of mirror. Very retro. I just ordered two. Thanks.
