What's the best setup for running topless/doorless to minimize interior dust?

Greetings, I live a few miles down a terrible dirt road, and here in Idaho they have what they refer to as "moon dust" very fine dust that makes insane clouds. We also get tons of rain in fall, winter, spring; but summer is very dry, so Jeeping season is insane dust season.
I have lived in Alabama, and Colorado and the dust on my dirt road is next level.

Even so, I want to go doorless/topless soon on my Hardtop, and was wondering what is the best setup to minimize completely trashing my interior. Door off only? Freedom panels removed and doors off? does opening rear sliding window, is full top off better than freedom panels removed?

My ideal setup would be doorless with just the freedom panels removed.

My concern is that I have a Side x Side and if I run with a windshield the inside is CAKED in dust. Windshield must come off to stop the low pressure area inside the SXS from sucking dust in.

Wondering what the best way to accomplish this in the JT (if possible)
Thanks

I think suction will always occur. You can try opening the rear window so air doesn't buffet around.

Yesterday with the top up (sunrider, natch) but doors on, we hit traffic rolling at that uncomfortable buffeting speed. I cracked the rear windows down and the buffeting went away.

Best option is to keep a California duster in the cab and some window wipes.

Does a Spiderweb shade have any effect at all?

I already use my air compressor in my shop to blast it out when cleaning it up.
Works pretty good but ideally I'd like to mitigate it without a ton of trial an error if anyone already went through this.

Biggest thing is to not use any dressing on the panels… only clean interior with water and microfiber. Anything like armorall or similar products will attract and trap the dust making a bigger mess.

Another thing to get, is a California car duster… they make a dash size, but keep it in garage… I made the mistake of putting one in glove compartment once, and all the other contents became soaked in the oils.

oh, I use to live in S. ID, so I know about the dust…

Maybe an extreme idea.....At the end of your road, build a mid size secured bunker. Install a pulley lift and door storage. Strip when you leave and dress when you return.

Other than that, I lived on a mile long dirt road years ago. Whenever I was naked I would just have to drive slow and do my best not to raise much dust. Aggravating to say the least. If you go doorless with panels off and leave back portion on it would keep out some dust. Do not open the rear window. Dust would be sucked in no matter what if the cabin isn't enclosed.

Best of luck to you.

I don't think anything helps but especially not having treatment on plastic to hold dust. I drive regularly on a few gravel roads and still have dust with doors and top on, dust coming out the vents.

HVAC should be turned off to avoid pulling dust into it… but then it’s pointless to use AC or heat when naked. (Not busting your chops Darrell)

I've still noticed a dust infiltration with HVAC turned off. :like:
