So...this may have been answered somewhere in this thread, so apologizing for that. I have a factory spray-in liner in my bed, so wondering what kind of issues anybody with the same might have run into when installing the X4S? The video BAK shows for installing in a Gladiator shows a drop-in plastic liner so it's not super helpful. Any cutting/drilling need to be done? Any issues with getting the fit right? Thanks.

Interested in this roll up as well to replace Lomax tri-fold. Let me know what you can do.

I have MOPAR factory spray in and X4S. The biggest install difference I could see was the bulkhead height to the side rail height. A drop in is almost level between the two. Spray in has a height difference so I ordered an extra thick foam weather strip to use and make up the difference. It’s done fantastic so far. I could probably improve water proofing at the tailgate end but its minimal water entry.

That’s great - thanks for the info! So no dealing with cleaning out pre—drilled holes or drilling others to get it installed? Did you get the thicker weather strip from Bak?

My 2022 did not require any drilling at the bulkhead but I also did not have a threaded hole to attach to like some older models. The X4S will come with some anchoring washer thingy that can be used if you don't have a threaded hole. The included anchor was pretty weak and I stripped it without even trying. I removed it and went with a threaded rivet nut instead.

I went with this weather stripping - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MZHXIY6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

Did you have to deal with clearing the spray in liner out of any of the factory holes in the bed?

I also have Linex & Bak 4s. The weatherstrip that came with the kit worked fine. There are a couple of factory holes in the bulkhead that Bak uses, I had those plugged for linex install. And there is a pre- scored section of side rail top that needs to be removed.
Very straightforward install. Also a little water gets in where the tailgate upper corners meet the tonneau. Very clean looking top.

Only the hex holes when using the riv nuts. The teaded holes were fine.
I didn’t clear any of them. I figured the bedliner was strong enough for the riv nut and the riv nut ridges would grab the liner instead of the steel or whatever the bed is made of.

The size I was using meant I needed to trim a bit for a tight fit all the way around. YMMV

Installed mine which had factory spray in as well as trail rail system and had no issues at all. I did use a knife point to scrap a little liner out of non hex hole where the plastic piece pushes in but took like 30 seconds. Perfect fit. Installed thick weather liner at bulkhead.

In addition RealTruck has FANTASTIC customer service which also is a big bonus.

PM Alex to set up your order and if you need anything else after receiving it.

agree. I used the thick foam weather strip provided with the cover up at the bulkhead.

Some folks have had issues with the foam weatherstrip staying stuck to the spray in liner at the bulkhead (even with an adhesive promoter) so they suggest sticking the foam to the underside of the X4S. This is on my “when I get time” list. (which is very, very, long right now ??)

Yep. The provided weatherstrip did not stick to the MOPAR bedliner with adhesive promoter so I ordered more from Amazon.

I did my installation in winter when it was below 40. May have had better results in warmer weather.
