Do you happen to know the total cost of this set up?
how about links to each part you mentioned?
does the mount leave any marks on your grab handle?
do you do one of these for the passenger side as well?

could you post the parts list or Amazon links for how you got this to work? I could see this being very useful and would appreciate it very much!
Dang, thought I spelled it out well enough.

I bought small circular mirrors off Amazon with an adhesive back. I flip the 2 end vents around and stuck them on there. I set it up so I can remove them but it literally is tool less and easy to set up once the doors are off.
Depending on the state, those may not qualify as "exterior" mirrors

Another vote for the lange coyote mirrors. I just started using them and am happy so far. They occasionally move at higher speeds (60+) but I have tightened them up a bit and they have been better.

Are you using the set screw or the thumb screw? Mine don't budge at 70+ with set screws.

Mine only had the thumb screws, bought them second hand so that was all they had. Will have to find some set screws. Honestly that part doesn't really move on me, it's the mirror itself (but it's been better since I've tightened those screws up)

thanks for appeasing an old man that’s bad with technology! I’ve had to return so many items because I thought I ordered the right parts
I like this solution bests. It ticks all the boxes except for cost since it will run about $200 total.

One thing I'm going to research is alternatives to RAM brand clamps and arms. I have used RAM stuff and its really good. But their patent has run out and I've seen knock offs around.

One other option is to watch eBay. I've scored some deals on RAM stuff in the past on eBay.

Also, if you look at the double take mirrors that Ogre has linked to, scroll down to the enduro mirror. It has a long mount that could allow you to use a shorter RAM arm. This might help if you are sourcing other parts from ebay or find a short arm on sale.

I hope this is helpful. This clearly appears to be the best solution I'm just hesitant to spend ~$200 for something that I am primarily buying just to be legal.

Do you need 2 mirrors to be legal?
I only use the one.
Here in Florida I don't even need it, the standard rear view meets the legal requirements

Yea, there are knock offs for every one of the parts.
I dont know if I would go the Enduro mirror route, the field of view from the Adventure mirror is really a lot better.

I have the canopy camper attached so it’s more about safety than legality, I can’t see anything behind me without them.

The CMM ones are pricey, but according to all accounts, they don't vibrate at all. They are also tool less, although the mount itself stays installed.

I've got a couple of their other ball mounts and they are very well made.

I'm probably going to order one soon..

I almost went with these and may eventually give them a try as I like the mount and the fact that they look like they could be pushed in if required and would store much easier than my Jpeggs

I will tell you DON'T get these, or any like it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08TBR5Z3L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They shake horribly, the plastic absorbs all the tension so the bolt basically sinks and doesn't get tight, and they fold in and down at any speed above 45mph.
I bought a set just like this last year. Went to use them for the first time last weekend and didn't even bother. I could already tell they wouldn't hold up to speed.
