Just an FYI for anyone using the hinge pins and keeping them on year round. Use a little loctite on them. The opening and closing of the doors and vibration will cause them to work their way off. I lost one of my bottom pins last year.

Ah looks like they could from the photo

If you look at the picture of the end of the rod, the only part that can slide through the bracket is the threaded stud at the end.

On the bracket you can see the pocket that the rod sits in with the smaller hole in the middle for the stud.

Who keeps the hinge pins in?

My only worry with the hinge pins is the bearing surface. Before (TJ, I assume JK), the pin was full bore diameter all the way through, this one (JL, TJ) has a sex bolt (Chicago screws?) and the bearing surface is only half of the length of the bushing....
Probably not a big deal, I run mine with no bolts or pin guides year round, but its worth observing.

The CMM ones are pricey, but according to all accounts, they don't vibrate at all. They are also tool less, although the mount itself stays installed.

I've got a couple of their other ball mounts and they are very well made.

I'm probably going to order one soon..

These mirrors are well worth the extra money. Great quality, with no movement in the wind. Install in 10 seconds.

I have the canopy camper attached so it’s more about safety than legality, I can’t see anything behind me without them.
I've got a topper on mine so view to the rear is limited through 3 darkly tinted windows.

If you have a tazer, you press mute fast twice and it turns on the rear cam. I found I just left it on while driving when I had the doors off.

i no longer have a rear view camera either since no one makes an affordable bracket for the camera after my camper install. I also don’t want to drill into the truck or the camper, so I am even more limited

Why would you take them off??
It's fun to show up at the boat ramp with the doors off and watch people react. It's a Jeep thing.

These might be the best yet, but like you said, pricey. I assume the mirror and stem comes off quickly and easily leaving only the base on the A-Pillar grab handle.
