60 miles on my 22 and this was one of the first things I did. Haven't even burned through the full tank that the dealer provided yet but I'm not going to fight dealing with it.

Took the flap out so I don't have to fight finding the correct nozzle on fill-ups.

Cool, how did you do that?
Took half of the inner fender liner bolts and fasteners out. Disconnected the fuel, vent and def hoses from the metal fill tubes. Unbolted metal fill tube assembly from the truck. On each side of the fill tube just below where the cap sits there are two tabs that need pushed in to release the inner flap assembly. Then pull the assembly out of the metal fill tube. There are three pieces that will come out. Remove the two plastic sections of the three leaving the outer piece that your fuel cap would screw to. Re-insert that outer piece back into the metal fill tube and make sure the two tabs fasteners back into fill tube. Bolt everything back in and button everything back up.

I've never had the SLIGHTEST hassle filling my Gladiator.

Seems you've posted the answer to a question no one was asking.
Didn't say anyone was asking so not sure what your comment is even for. Not all nozzles work well with this design. Makes for adding any additives more of a pia. It doesn't need to be there in my opinion so I took it out doing away with any hassle of dealing with different sizes of nozzles at any stations. Some places still use a 3/4" nozzles and these are made for a larger nozzle.

Thanks, ran into this once already. I didn't know this was a option.

I've never had a problem with a nozzle, but I've found that I can add between 2 and 3.5 gallons after the first time the nozzle clicks off. I have to fill very slow. This usually adds another 75 miles of range.

I was traveling from Florida back to Dallas in the middle of the night. I was down to fumes. I pulled into a gas station that had 4 diesel pumps
three of them didn’t work the last one did. You put the fuel nozzle up against the flapper and the flapper will not open. I didn’t know it at the time, but the dealership gave me a small black plastic funnel and ultimately it’s supposed to be used for fuel nozzle if it doesn’t activate the flapper door.

Mine came with the little funnel in the console, along with the tool kit to remove the top.

I fill mine slowly. After it clicks off. I can add about about 3 gallons too. I've actually put 17.5 gallons in the tank.
