I just picked up my 2022 jeep gladiator and love it. Its an amazing amazing jeep. Has almost everything except for the LED package. I started to look into complete LED headlight replacement but, I really like the jeep front end in the head light and plus the LED bulbs are a lot cheaper.
I searched through a bunch of forms but, was wondering if owners have upgraded there lights with LED bulbs and which ones and how do they like them?
I read that some can cause flicker or code errors So many options!! I was looking at the below ones but would really like to get some recommendations of what people are using and how do you like them.

I'll upload some pics of my jeep as well to this and my profile.

Here is a post with links to what I did in November. It was really an interim plan as I was intending on getting replacement led headlight assemblies (either oem or aftermarket), but it hasn't really been high up on my priority list.

The headlights are so much better than the stock halogen it's crazy.

https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...-do-to-your-gladiator-today.23705/post-833824

I have noticed a bit of flicker if I am parked in front of a wall, but not while driving. I made a very slight adjustment down after putting in the bulbs and I haven't been flashed a single time.

I'll probably upgrade to a better bulb just because, but for $40 you can't go wrong. I've been happy with the other bulbs as well, no issues at all.

I replaced all the bulbs in front with the LED ones in my links and I did not have any issues with hyper flashing or dash warnings.

Once I replaced the rear tails is when I had an issue, but I switched all the settings to Led with Alphaobd and haven't had a single issue since.

I installed the Beamtech as the poster above did in two Jeeps. Interestingly flicker was much more noticeable in the 2020 Wrangler than it was in the 2020 Gladiator.

I'm sure different LED bulbs behave differently, but these made good light, without the downside or scatter or poor pattern some drop in bulbs seem to have.

I went with LED's for the fogs, the DRL's, and the headlamps. Just switched the bulbs out, it works great and I'm not getting any codes or having any issues. The only thing I would consider to be a slight problem is that the DRL's/turn signals will overheat if you leave the turn signal on too long, this time of year. When it's really hot outside, the bulbs don't cool down quickly enough and you'll get a fast clicking with the error message on the dash, until you turn them off. I compensate for that by not leaving them on, I'll signal but then if I'm sitting at a light waiting to turn, I'll turn them off until the traffic starts moving again. Works for me, YMMV.

Don't be that person that puts cheap LED bulbs in a reflector housing. If you want LEDs do it right and buy the complete housing.

And for anyone who wants to chime in how they do it and it's fine, I don't care. Reflector housings are designed for halogen bulbs with 360 degree light emission from a known point. LEDs cannot do this and you will be that asshole everyone bitches about with the misaligned headlights.

This is some old-world thinking. There are plenty of LED bulbs that are designed specifically for reflector housings. A good number of vehicles come from the factory with reflector LED housings. As long as you buy the correct bulbs, you won’t be blinding anyone.

A vehicle coming from the factory with an LED bulb is going to have a reflector designed specifically for that LED bulb but I have yet to see any manufacturer do this. LEDs in projector housings are fine even aftermarket and maybe someone has done that OEM, but I have not seen anyone use an actual LED bulb in a reflector housing.

Geometry doesn't care. The emission point of a halogen bulb is part of the spec and any deviation from that emission point will cause errant light. But even ignoring the errant light argument... LEDs are directional light which causes all other sorts of issues too.

Entry level broncos use LED reflector bulbs. The Compass uses an LED projector low-beam but an LED reflector high beam. The entry level Mach-E’s use LED’s in reflector housings. Those are just the ones I know of. I’m sure there are plenty more vehicles that use standard reflector LED’s on entry models, and projector style LED’s on higher models. But you can get LED bulbs that are specifically designed for halogen reflector assemblies.

So specifically designed to use the specific bulbs that are included. High beams don't matter since they're not intended to be aimed in a way that isn't offensive to other drivers.

But you can get LED bulbs that are specifically designed for halogen reflector assemblies.
There is no such thing as a universal LED bulb replacement for a halogen bulb in a reflector housing and any reputable LED manufacturer will say this. You can design an LED bulb specifically for a housing but not all reflector housings are equal and not all make the same assumptions on the keying of LED emitters.

LEDs are directional light whereas halogen bulbs are an omni source. There is no way to make a bulb that will transmit efficiently in every housing based on this simple fact alone. Yes, some housings are better than others with a specific bulb but there is no way to make a universal LED bulb because the emitters have to be keyed to certain angles and each reflector housing has a different angle around the axis where it would need the light the most.

If you build a bulb specifically for the JL/JT housing then I would 100% recommend it to everyone. That's the only "can" that matters.

You're doing an awful lot of arguing theoreticals instead of just listening to people that have them. My Beamtech H13 replacements have a well defined cut-off line. Not as laser precise as factory LEDs in other applications, but the scatter you're telling me I should expect just isn't there.

I went to amazon to take a look at the H13 and found :
https://www.amazon.com/BEAMTECH-Hea...ix=beamtech+h13,aps,78&sr=8-5#customerReviews

Amazon is reporting that these will not fit the 2022 glad.. Are these the same ones?

Also on the fence about these:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09N79VG6...jdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=#customerReviews

spending 40 dollars is a lot better then spending 270..

Thank you all for responding to this thread. just to many choices out there and figured some of you all have already made the conversation with what was used.

Thanks all for the the replies and information. This was my first time posting to this forum and I am sure will not be my last with the great responses.

Any one know any good trails with a stream that has good trout fishing in NH or MA? i would say RI but I know there are none. :(

Ok starting to think it’s me. I tried four different brands and all of them do not fit. They send me the plug with 4 pins in a straight line but, my plug has two rows of pins. Anyone else have that kind of plug on there bead lights or do I have to buy an adapter ?

I initially went with these…

SEALIGHT 9008/H13 LED Bulbs, 16000LM Dual Hi/Lo Bulbs, Ultra-thin Design 60W LED Bulbs 6500K Cool White with Fan, Quick Installation Halogen Replacement Kit, Pack of 2 https://a.co/d/aQGuWzR

…and, as mentioned, they had a good cutoff, and better illumination than the halogens. No scatter and never once flashed. No flickering, either.

I recently got these…

BICYACO 9 Inch LED Headlights with DRL Compatible with 2018 2019 2020 2021 2022 Jeep Wrangler JL JLU Gladiator JT SUV 120W Headlamps Replacement with Daytime Running Lights High Low Beam Adjustable https://a.co/d/cQtqSSq

…and the cutoff is more defined, and the light output more uniform.

As to fitment, the Sealight bulbs I got plugged right in, but I have heard that some people have had trouble with the pins on the lamp being too big.
