I scaled mine with the 37's and the front and rear bumpers with about 500lbs of garbage on the rear.

That was at the garage dump about a year ago

That was also with the wife and I in the truck so around 285lbs worth of adults in the truck. The front bumper and winch weigh about 180lbs and the rear steal bumper is about 70lbs. Tires weigh 72lbs a piece.

So you and I are REALLY close. I was out of the vehicle and have the stock rear bumper, other than that, very similar. Mine was 5600 at the dump as well. Don’t remember the change.

Y'all are svelte. 5900lb here, with a fat driver on board and all my usual wheeling and recovery gear in the bed. 35s, five Method 703s, steel belly armor, full tool kit, etc etc.

Might be surprised.

Freedom edition
Max tow
Lots of options.

not many mods:
34”
Spacer front rear
Replaced + added fog lights.

I don’t pack a lot, no air compressor, no parts, no winch, no high lift, no racks etc.

payload is 1425 per the sticker.

scale weight was 5200

GVWR is 6250 per sticker.

payload no driver full of fuel just over 1k.

little less than I was expecting, I was expecting it to be just under 5k and to have 1250 pounds payload

click my link for my build nothing new.

5680 lb
22 Rubicon Diesel
Lift, 37s, factory steel front bumper.
Full fluids. No driver no cargo.

My TJ with 37s, steel bumpers/skids/rockers and aluminum fenders/tub armor comes in at 4620 lbs for comparison. So 5680 doesn't sound too bad.

Sport S, nerf bars, tonneau cover, tow loops, with ¼-tank gas and no occupants came out to 4,800.
With my towing stuff, I'm right at 5k, which it the tow rating of my motor coach.

Did you get newer heavier wheels with the new tires? What are the tire weights? I have 1434 left on my Sport S Max Tow as delivered from the factory with all the options I could think of. I did not change out tires and wheels due to weight increase once I researched them. The only thing I have added is a 72 pound tonneau cover. Also You put Replaced + fog lights. Did you replace the bumper?

No disrespect intended, but why? Just curiosity? Again, not trying to be an arse, just wondering why someone would weigh their non-commercial vehicle.

Too see how close we’ve gotten to the recommended GVWR after adding modifications and accessories.

Thanks for the reply! Makes sense. It’s just something I would never consider doing unless I’m towing something, maybe.

It gets important when your mods take you from 5,050 stock to 5600+ with no gear or trailer. It’s definitely a consideration when you then hookup the trailer and it’s 300lb tongue weight, put four people in the cab, and put a few hundred lbs of gear in the bed.

Yea, that makes sense for sure.

I for one didn’t pay for it though. I had just dropped something off at the dump and was being weighed anyway.

btw. What kind of network work do you do?That’s my chosen career since around ‘98.

Been doing it since ‘94. Little bit of everything. Right now it’s cloud network security and automation.
