Well guys I figured I could vent here. If it is not appreciated I apologize.

I have have put out a fair number of tunes, and as this deal ages I am getting closer and closer to 60/40 split of Jeeps that need work after the fact. Thanks Jeep for your 300+ iterations of OS and great quality control! And that is a fair bit of correspondence and math every night.

On top of that my rig is always in test mode. Sometimes severe test mode and I set it up to emulate a manual and 2021 operating system, as I no longer have any local testers. I am the only one that can drive it.

I have fall back tunes for going on trips and chores, but my adaptives are always off.

Went to street machine Nationals this weekend and saw a lowered 5.0 F150. Ain't gonna lie it got me thinking. Buy a used 5.0 supercharge it, lower it, and just drive it.

You gotta do what makes you happy. Some times that means fighting that urge to help everyone and just focus on your own projects that you actually want to do. I'd say close up shop, focus on your own trucks tune, and enjoy the SC whine with out having to worry about all the night school.

That coyote motor is a blast to work with : )

I was pining for a lead foot RCSB w/ the 5.0 for some time after having 2 mustangs with it. Then the EcoD came along. The latest coyote is stronger than ever. You’re not too far away from some of the top folks fabricating and tuning for that platform. I’d vote full send and don’t look back brother!

Or you could go with a Cayenne Turbo. It does use the same ZF transmission design as the JT and currently has a 541 hp 4 liter V8. It is standard with AWD, and if you want off road, there is a youtube out there of one in Germany jumping over a hill on a race track. It’s not a truck, the Europeans use them for police cars. And there’s a GT model coming with 640 hp.

The day you throw in the towel is the day that HP Tuners finally provides GPEC5 support.

Edit title: this is the last jeep tune I'll ever own.
Just kidding, I understand your frustration and wish you the best with your decision. If nothing else you were quite an asset here to test different configurations and being a willing lab rat.

DAVECS1,
I have followed all the threads you have been on, amazed at your knowledge, but also thinking how much time this must take up. I can understand if you decide to go a different direction and it will definitely be at our loss here.

I have been thinking about a SC ever since I bought my Gladiator, but there is no doubt I would not do it without your tunes!
Thanks for all you have done for the folks on this forum.

I saw the Story Till Now guy is ditching his blown JT too

Do you think the problem is more with the 3.6 itself or the ECU?

Or have a Hellcat or Demon Hemi swapped into the Gladiator and have the best of both worlds. Seriously.

Oh, then you can go with tons and coil overs and..........

My DD is a 5.0 F-150 with the 10 speed. It's pretty quick in stock form. Mid 14s or so.

I'd love to have a blower on it. ?

It's both: The software has not been stable for at least 4 years. And the software has some fundamental design flaws for the volumes it serves

The engine has some serious quality concerns. Lifters, throttle body, cams, catalytic converters, oil coolers, so forth.

I like the V8 option but the price of entry is steep.

I have owned a 700hp 2003 ford lightning. I loved it. Truck met a K-rail running drag radials back from the track. I was young and didnt really think ahead for the weather.

That said I think you should trade your gladiator on a Diesel and help us with tuning the ecodiesel. You are very detail oriented and we have alot more to gain from tuning that the pentastar motor.

Its fun hot rodding a tiny diesel yes it doesnt make massive power but its also efficient.
