Added Paddle Shifters.

First off, thanks to fellow Member RHARR.
I asked a few questions before ordering the parts and rharr was quick to reply and added some great suggestions. VERY HELPFUL.

Took about 5 days for the parts to arrive.
Some comments for those wanting to tackle this mod.

1) Take several pictures of the current wiring harness before taking anything apart.
This saved me A LOT of time with this Rubik Cube harness.
You'll carefully remove the old one, and within seconds you'll forget how to correctly install the new one. YUP!

2) DISCONNECT all the power to the JT. Just disconnecting the main battery won't do it.

3) Be careful with the electrical clips on the airbag. They will break if you over stress them.

4) The horn wire/clip was tough to disconnect for some reason! Smile.
Again, take your time.

5) The paddles fit perfectly. I didn't have to trim anything on the wheel. Maybe 22's are somehow a little different.

6) I used JSCAN and within half an hour the system recognized the Paddles.

7) While driving, if you move the shifter to Manual mode, you'll see the gear selected by the paddles on the display. You can still shift if you don't select M mode with the Paddles, but the Display will stay only show D. I wonder what a 392 actually shows if you just engage the paddle without moving the shift lever.? Humm

I don't think these will be used a lot, but I have used the manual shift mode on occasion.
They are definitely cool looking. $180 total with shipping. Great addition.

Great job.
I have to admit - my wife hated them on her prior GC but IMO, they could be handy driving in mountains. I used manual mode a lot in CO, Pike's Peak and so on.

Since I erroneously posted what I did WITH my JT and came back with I scratched the bed, here is now one week later:

Rub rails from CL
Knock off bumper from EBay. It’s ok.
mopar JT speed steelies.
goodyear ulterrain at 285/70

i have a 1.5 terra flex spacer lift waiting to be picked up and I’ll see if I do a 3/4 in the back. Looking for a decent winch and going with a warm mount instead of that Chinese one that came with that bumper. LED rounds on the brush guard and that’s it really. Keeping it overlanding. Oh, lockers. At this time no plan to rehear since I went 285’s. And rack later on. I’d like to do a set of rubi fenders but it’s not a must.

Thanks for the catch..

That was supposed to $180 shipped. And I got everything from BAM.
That was for the Paddles, the wiring harness, and the covers.
1 of the covers was out of stock and I had to order from a different vendor.

Having to order the other cover added about 12 bucks to the cost because it cost more and I had separate shipping charges.

Put on my Rugged Ridge Sport Rack 11703.51 today. I was going back and forth with getting a sport rack/roll bar or finding one compatible with a tonneau cover. But I really wanted the RR and said screw it to getting a tonneau cover. It was 10% off so I couldn't pass it up. Install took me 3.5hrs by myself. I ordered it Wednesday and it arrived today. The front brackets had to be pounded down with a rubber mallet. I read a review where someone else also had to do that. 2 out of 4 felt pads were missing for where the side rails attach to the rack. I don't think 2 felt pads combined would have attached with the tiny bolts provided. But I got it done with minimal swearing so that's good

100% agree... I live in the Rocky Mountains and i find the JT getting "stuck" in a lower gear at times that's not needed.
I will manually shift it up and move back to Auto. In most cases it would stay in the higher gear.

Now just a flick of the Paddle... Thumbs up!

Finally got my Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform (42113B) installed on Samson. Was able to attach the rack to the Backflip Revolver X4S tonneau using the Front Runner Top Mount TALL Legs (LASS033) by using some uni-strut nuts and 3/8” bolts and washers. Had to slightly oversized the through holes in the legs to accept the 3/8” bolts.

Rhino Rack had the side rails on clearance so I added those as well.
