So I tried something yesterday to resolve the gap at the cab edge of the cover. I got some of this FROST KING EXPANDING WEATHER STRIPPING. This stuff is pretty cool. It compresses and expands a lot more than most weather stripping. Per the package, it compresses down to 1/4", and expands up to 1". It's also a lot denser foam, so I don't feel like it'll hold water.

To install, I actually put it on upside down - that is, I unbolted the tonneau from the side-rails, and flipped it up so I could put the adhesive on the flat, smooth cover rail instead of my Line-x covered bed. I figured this would help adhesion in two ways - first, it's much smoother, and second, it keeps the adhesive at the TOP, not along the bed rail where the water would wear down the adhesion.

Once I installed it and re-bolted the cover down, the foam compressed about 1/2 of the way, which lead to a nice really tight seal. I also managed to compress a little piece by hand and slip it in where the rails ended to fill that gap in too. TBD on how it fares longer term, but it's way better than the stripping that came with the cover, and better than most of what I've found so far.

3 months in and this stripping is still holding strong and keeping the bed largely water-tight. I ran it through an auto car wash a few weeks ago and there was some water in there, but it was more along the sides which made me think it came in elsewhere. Still loving this tonneau.

For those looking for a "rack" option that works with the Backflip Revolver X4S - here is my post from my build thread (Samson), thought I'd share. I have been working to get the right set-up for me. Happy with the tonneau cover and rack that allows a full roll up:

Finally got my Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform (42113B) installed on Samson. Was able to attach the rack to the Backflip Revolver X4S tonneau using the Front Runner Top Mount TALL Legs (LASS033) by using some uni-strut nuts and 3/8” bolts and washers. Had to slightly oversized the through holes in the legs to accept the 3/8” bolts.

Rhino Rack had the side rails on clearance so I added those as well.

I have had the BAK Revolver X4s for 1 1/2 years. A little feedback.

- It is a great cover.
- There are pinch points when rolling the cover back into position, watch your fingers.
- During winter I have had snow and ice get stuck on the top. It won't come off, you can not use it at that point. Not a ding on the cover. The snow and ice has been up to 4" thick. Clean it off... Can't really do that. With overnight freezing rain followed up by snow and then freeze and thaw cycle it will build up and nothing is getting it off without damage. The cover stood up to this with no issue.
- A couple of parts came off in a short amount of time- see pics. I have lived with it, no I did not reach out to the manufacturer. No particular reason.

Mine came with one of the end trim pieces broken off. I posted about it earlier. Nice looking cover but quality doesn’t = price.
