Since when is it more about what we do TO our Jeeps than what we do WITH our Jeeps

Gladiator still parked in the garage where I left it 2 weeks ago. Been driving the beater to work and around town for errands. Unsure if Gladiator has been on any adventures without me. As of now, nothing new to report.

As of this post trip Journals and Reports account for 3,344 messages. This topic involvement is dwarfed by tech section, builds, and basically "what tires can I fit without a lift" topics. Not only here but FB pages. In fact, under this General discussion there are two subjects threads. One is what did you do TO, with 1293 pages and WITH 53 pages. We have the most trail capable 4x4 ever made in history being sold right now, but seems the almost sole discussion is who has what trim and what other crap can you buy for your Jeep.

Because attention whores crave attention, and will post repeatedly for validation/attention.

Add to that the growing online population who find it easier to post a question on a forum rather than search for it, that adds to the ever-growing list of "can I fit 35s" and other mundane threads.

Simple concept. There's more TO to talk about than WITH. TO needs information. TO needs guidance. WITH just gets reactions. I like WITH pictures, but what else is there to say besides "Nice!"? So I don't. I react and move on.

I too want to go to Imogene, I don't have lockers either. I don't know if a CO trip is in the cards this summer, but me and some friends are planning on going to Sedona next weekend to do some wheeling.

Also I might do a afternoon trip with some other friends on Saturday in the heat to Montana Mountain, but that's when you're gone

Your entire rant is about how:

- you're such an awesome old school Jeeper
- people don't do things WITH their Jeeps
- you know some super rad dude with a Suzuki Vitara that does more trail than $110k JTs.
- who here has driven their Jeep to Mexico?!
- guns too, only about what they did not how they use
- why not go scratch your Jeep up and tell us

Your entire point is about how people dont use their Jeeps to what you would approve of.

Stop worrying about what other people do with their stuff... Jeeps, guns, adventure bikers... whatever.

And you have a problem with this how? I never said I was awesome or cool. Nice to know some of you feel this way. I don't think that I am. but you totally did not mention anything about the main point.

If you want to use your Jeep as a show piece then show it. We are lacking anything featuring things we do WITH and almost completely what we do TO. Even if it's just going from point A to point B. No daily reports.

Life goes on. Feel free to skip this all together. Thanks for your input, I guess.

Valid point. I guess for a forum to grow it needs interaction.

And on the tech side it's really the same 7 things asked like in a million times and a million different ways. So much had it been hashed when I wanted to do my spacer lift, I didn't even had to ask or search. It was like all over the place. Only needed to sort out the other 6 mod and tech topics discussed over and over.

I just like seeing them in action. And youtube is ... great and suck at the same time. Some well made videos professionally produced and rest kind of trash, like mine.

Did you search for and read all the threads about this exact same rant? Because there are a bunch of them.
