I want to know how did you come across this product and realize it's going to fit the tailgate key hole? Such a random item.I've tried to hide every external piece of unfinished metal on my Jeep. The only thing I couldn't find was a cap for the keyhole on the tailgate. Behold what some off-purpose use for a product can accomplish.

I knew they made magnetic keycaps for the doors so I just search for "magnetic button", "magnetic cover", "magnetic cap" etc.. and those came up in one of my Amazon searches. I had previously measured the keyhole size and it was just great luck that those fake earrings were the exact size needed.I want to know how did you come across this product and realize it's going to fit the tailgate key hole? just pack it with grease before slapping the magnet over itI'd be more worried about that cap retaining dust, salt spray, and water that would cause corrosion or bind up that locking cylinder. At least if it's open I can clean it off regularly when washing the truck.
You just unlocked a childhood memory of mine. Grandma lost a little magnetic earring at our house and swore she was just wearing them. We looked h̶i̶g̶h̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ low but couldnt find it. Then a week later, I spotted them on a metal door frame… right at the height of her headI put on one for my wife to mess with her. Gotta say I'd be disappointed if I really wanted those for actual earrings. They don't hold very well at all... Or I've got fat-ass ears.

I did it, too lol just no photo evidence. These are dope!
