Next time you spend 10hrs put a little lift on that beauty!!

I'm in Canada and just did my 1st hand wash of the season yesterday, my hard water left spots etc all over..... The sun was setting, time was limited.

Looks great down in Texas!!
It’s going in next week for lift, 35’s, OD Green wheels and some other suspension goodies.

great job! i enjoy doing the same myself but the older I get, the more of letting someone else do it appeals to me.
Thanks. I can understand that. My day job is very stressful and I’ve found that I enjoy detailing very much and I’m real good at it. It’s my therapy.

@JWM PLAYS First off, looks AMAZING!

A (kinda) technical question: How did you go about choosing those products? Is there anything in particular about the Gladiator that makes them a good fit for the task?

It would be interesting to get your thoughts on what you like about the stuff that you're using. I have no opinions at all and am really kinda ignorant when it comes to picking stuff like this, so I'm always looking for solid recommendations.

I’m impressed. I was pleased recently to finally spend ~10 minutes with the shop vac getting fries and other debris out from under the seat.

That and I spent maybe 3-5 minutes wiping down the dash to remove the small amount of splashed salsa from my last taco run.

So what’s the purpose of the iron decontamination? (I haven’t washed a vehicle in almost 2 years so apologies for being out of the game)

Removes all the metallic contaminants from your paint. Brake dust, stuff picked up off the road, etc. just don’t smell it, it’s one of the worst smelling car care products in existence.

Most people start with Armor all products from Walmart, move up to chemical guys products, then finally graduate to some good stuff.
I follow Pan the Organizer and Apex Detailing on YouTube, between those two channels you can spend way more money than you ever intended to lol. You’ll also learn a lot if you choose to pay attention to the content ??

I like chemical guys foam washes, but using their tire spray and its streaky, not good. Any ideas on good gloss tire sprays?

... an all in one polish/wax.
When I first saw this, I was thinking why would you spend all that time and then use a 'shortcut' product for the last step(s). Then I checked out the 3D Speed you used and that is some neat stuff. It gets great reviews and you can't argue with your results - your JT really looks great! Nice job.

I'm a big fan of Meguiar's 105 and/or 205, followed by #21 Synthetic Sealant or Hybrid Solutions Pro Graphene Flex Wax. But, there are a lot of times that a 2-step process just isn't needed. I may need to try out the 3D Speed.

Great job!
One of my first retirement projects was to detail ours top to bottom, underneath, inside and out.
Took me over week, but I went over the entire thing with polishing compound first. Then finished it with Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions. Love how it can be used one the plastics, flat blacks, glass, and clearcoat all together.
It's super easy to clean now.
I hosed it off yesterday and most of the bugs and gunk slid right off.

My wife is fortunate not only to own a JT Texas Trail but also the fact that my hobby is detailing and I do it for fun. I spent right at 10hrs on it this past Saturday. Clean all leather/vinyl seats
Dress all Interior Vinyl/Plastic
Treat all Leather Seats
Clean Glass

Superior Products Dark Fury
Stoner Invisible Glass
Superior Products Aqua Gloss
3D Speed

Interior:

Wow!! Totally impressive.

When I picked up my Jeep at Gupton, my wife suggested I take some photos of it because it will never be that clean again. ha. She's probably right.

I am very ignorant when it comes to detailing. But I'm smart enough to steal from guys who know what they are talking about.

I read your post and immediately googled Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions and was confronted with about 20 different products.

Can you explain or show exactly which one you have.

For a duffer like me, the idea of a wax that can also be used on plastic is great.

Thanks,

Don
