I ended up buying four (not five) of the Goodyear Wrangler tires. I assumed the spare was the same as the other four wheels--like it is on a Wrangler. It is not. The spare is indeed a 17" basic steel wheel. Completely happy with the look, ride, handling, and highway noise level of this tire. Goodyear also has an $80 rebate on this tire, which helped ease the sting a bit of replacing new tires with another set of new tires.I wouldn't do either of the tires you mentioned. If you are staying stock tire size, I'd do the Nitto Ridge Grapplers. They are only 43 lb. and will give you the aggressive looking all-terrain tire you are desiring. They are good in all conditions. Sort of a hybrid tire. And if you are sticking with the factory size tire, why are you buying 5? Just keep the factory tire underneath the bed as your spare and save yourself the added expense of another tire. Who cares if it doesn't match the other 4 as long as it's the same size. It's only meant to be there in the event you have a flat. IMO, it's too much of a PIA to drop the spare down and incorporate into your tire rotation and if I'm not mistaken, the wheel on the spare might just be a cheap steel wheel.
I had 33" falken's on my ram w/ 20" wheels. treadwear was fine, but @ 6,000 miles they got really noisy. Could be the truck weighed 7,000 lbsAll, I know I have about 3 more months to wait but what are peoples thoughts on putting FALKEN WILDPEAK A/T3W
LT285 /75 R, on the stock rims? Tires measure 34.8 inches in diameter. Watching videos etc. 35" tires should fit. I live in Florida so no rock climbing. Thoughts?
I like this idea/size for 18” Overland wheels. When I looked up all terrain 275/65R18 on Tirerack the obvious/popular choices are BFG KO2 and Falken Wildpeak A/T 3WA. However the BFG KO2s are E rated while the Falkens are C rated. Everything I’ve read on this forum say stay away from D and E rated tires because they give a harsh ride. So are the Falkens indeed the better choice between the two? There are several very good size comparison websites. I like the one on Discount Tire website. I will be going with a 275/65R18 AT. Gives me a wider stance, aggressive tread and most importantly for me, the same height. So I don't have to worry about a change in speedo or calibration issues. Just need to get the best deal on a brand.
I like the look.Per the posts above, I went with a set of 275/65/18 Falken Wildpeak A/T:

Do you have pics with the wrangler tires on? I have been debating those just because they were what was on my last JK and did right by me so I am curious to see if it gives that "little bit extra" I have been looking for (also may have a line on some rubi takeoffs so weighing options)I ended up buying four (not five) of the Goodyear Wrangler tires.
