I think building your D44's will be fine for 37's, but certainly do not take my amateur's word for it. I am admittedly new to all this and learning as I go. The consensus from what I've read and from speaking with folks during my build is that 37's are good to go with trusses on the axles/gussets on the C-knuckles then upgraded ball joints as well. From there you have to consider shafts, etc but that's a whole different rabbit hole itself.Yeah you live and you learn. So far I haven’t regretted anything yet. The only thing I debated forever was building the stock axles or jumping to Dana 60’s. Seeing how I don’t want to go past 37’s, I figured building the stock axles were fine. Maybe I’ll regret this later.
I’m sure you should be able to recoup a little bit on your axles.
