Is the ZF 8HP75 transmission still going to be mated with the diesel? I only see the 850RE transmission mentioned.
I would think the 850RE rated at 500Nm max torque (369 lb ft) would not suffice for the 442 lb ft of the EcoDiesel engine. The 8HP75 is rated at 750Nm max torque (553 lb ft) which would be a much better match and indicator that the diesel is indeed coming.

I wish it rained beer.
Funny you should say that....my neighbor was out of town and right as he was getting home I filled his rain gauge with a shitty light beer he left at my house. I told him to take a look at what he had missed when he was gone. I told him it rained beer!
He looked in the rain gauge, smelled it, felt it was cold and guzzled it down!

Still no confirmation that there will be a 2-door JT. Definitely not at launch as none have been built for testing yet. IF they do come out with a 2-door it would not be surprising if they waited until 2021 model year. This is just speculation on my part.

Also, I have been told that (so far) all the JT test mules out there have the 3.6L engine, and that none have the diesel. This would seem to imply that we will not see the diesel at launch as they would usually want to be testing 6-8 months ahead of launch. Based on this, we may not see the diesel during the first model year, but not ruling it out just yet.

Will keep everyone posted as we learn more :like:

So a few things to discuss here.

What is Off-road + mode????

I am not an expert on axles, how does everyone feel about the M220 and M221 Wide on the Rubicon? How big of tires can they handle after they are re-geared? 40s?

If the order banks/production timeline stays true to the Jan/Feb 2019 timeframe, yes I would expect it to be in showrooms around April-May. If there are any changes I'll let you guys know as soon as I hear.

Boo to no diesel confirmation. I want the Diesel!!!!
But otherwise very satisfied so far.
I'm curious as to the new axles as well.
Also curious if it will get Adaptive cruise control. I love it on my wk2.

May end up buying an LJ Rubi to tide me over for a few years at this rate.

Thanks for the updates though Jay! Interested to see what Off Road+ mode is, and how well the off-road camera works.

Just read they are the same as the JL rubicon axles. So should be strong enough,
