Hello all. I have a 2020 jeep gladiator overland. Anyway I installed a four wheel project M camper. Once I installed all my gear, the rear end squats. I was reading a submission on the forum, and the gentleman said he replaced his rear springs with springs from a ram pickup.
Said he got the idea from a local shop.
Anyway my issue is I don’t know which springs to use? I believe he said they were B&D springs. Has anyone else done this?, or know what springs I should use?
Thanks for any help

With the extra weight it sounds like you could use airbags.

If you search here there's quite a few folks that have added them and some DIY threads.

I had the same problem after a steel topper and draw system, added 300 kg
Each to their own but I believe Air Bags are best used for temporary weight, towing etc
So if you intend on keeping the camper on all the time I would agree the best solution is swapping out the rear springs.
I went for an Australian brand Tough Dog (as I am over here lol) that were rated for an extra 300kg, It got back the inch of sag and actually added an extra inch in lift, so I do not know what brand is best in the US but I suggest getting Jeep JT specific springs rated for your permanent weight. It only cost me like $500 Aus Dollar for supply and fit by my local guy (about $300 usd)

A lot of the aftermarket lift kit companies offer heavy duty springs for the extra weight of gear and camper shells. I would suggest contacting them to determine which springs best suit your needs.

I believe AEV, MetalCloak and Teraflex all make springs for overlanding and carrying extra weight or as already mentioned, airbags. If the camper is going to be on the Jeep all the time, I would replace the springs. If not, I would go with air bags.

Thanks for everyone’s input
I can’t believe that there’s know one out there that has replaced their rear springs for similar issues ? Just would like to know what they used, or how they did it?
Thanks again for any help you can give me

I used Dobinson HD coils in the back to fix my squat.
I agree with @Slipshodman that airbags are more for temporary weight. I tried them when I had an ACCC installed and was not happy with them.

I bought the heavy duty for a 3" lift. It does not appear you are lifted, so just standard length. Call Dobinsons and discuss it.

You could look at Clayton too. They publish their spring rates. @Clayton Off Road

I did replace mine with Clayton’s heavy duty springs when I installed their 2.5” Overland Plus lift and Falcon adjustable shocks. I’m happy with the setup but it may not be for everyone and different manufacturers offer different spring rates.
