Shocks don't support the load or truck at all. The shocks won't impact the amount of load it handles or how far the bed will go down under load.Side question...are the rubi shocks as stiff as the max tow shocks? Question being if op puts rubi shocks in the rear and tows could they allow for more truck bed travel under load, as apposed to the max tow shocks?
I can't speak to the Sport w/max tow, but the Rubicon shocks do take the softness or bounce out of an Overland. I have a more firm ride now, I feel some of the harder bumps more than I did, but there's no bouncy feel, it feels like it's more solid on the road.
Are the Rubicon shocks longer? I didn't measure them against the Overland shocks.
Yes, it did on my Overland. The shocks alone, at least IMO, are worth the swap.I’ve been wondering this, too, although I have an Overland and a Rubi takeoff suspension. If you just swap the shocks out does it take the bounce out?
I put Rubicon springs under the front of my Overland,
Sport max tow springs under the rear to keep it from dropping so much with load and trailer tongue weight (NOT TO ADD TO PAYLOAD OR TOWING! Just to reduce the "sag")
and Rubicon shocks all 4 corners.
I like how it rides, less bounce.

that feeling is gone for sure with the upgrade. The one inch of lift in the front doesn’t hurt either, we’ll see how much I loose once I install my winch this weekend.
