Hello all-
I bought a used 2021 AEV gladiator at the dealership last year. ever since I drove off the lot the TPMS sensors don't work. they even cleared the code before we drove away. since then I have used the taser to clear the code, and have taken it to my dealership (not the one I bought it from) and they can't fix it. they keep telling me that it could be the aftermarket tinted windows that could be blocking the signal (BS) they gave me a star case publication number S2208000138. I now have a camp king canopy camper and my dealer says that the camper or other aftermarket electrical interference could be the issue too. But it was doing this before I put that on.
does anyone have any advice? maybe new tpms sensors?

the three most likely scenarios are 1. dead TPMS batteries, 2. No TPMS sensors at all, 3. wrong TPMS sensor/sensor frequency.

I had scenario number 2. Dealer added AEV wheels and new tires, and didn't move the sensors over from the stock wheels that came off. To their credit when I pointed out the issue, they checked, admitted th error and installed the TPMS sensors at no charge. Working like a charm since then.

Go to a tire shop. Have them use their TPMS tool. Check the tires for TPMS sensors. If they exist, check battery level and frequency. Jeep changed the TPMS receiver and sensors in mid-2021.

There have been some reports of the newer sensors not working in some aftermarket wheels.

I doubt it has anything to do with the AEV wheels and especially if your AEV Gladiator conversion was done by AEV as it would not have left them that way.

Like others mentioned, this comes down either no TPMS sensors, low batteries or incorrect type as mentioned because there was a mid year change in 2021. Being bought used, no telling what it could be of those things listed.

BTW, I run the same AEV wheels as in your Avatar pic. Ported over the factory TPMS sensors when I went to them and they synced right away.

Thank you it came with AEV wheels but they swapped the wheels out to another AEV wheel so maybe the sensors got lost in the mix

Ironically, I had a TPMS issue right after installing an AEV lift on my '21 Mojave last Fall and upgrading to 35" tires. Took a while to sort it out, but as already mentioned it was dead TPMS batteries all along and just a coincidence that they died at that point.
