2022 Jeep Gladiator 22k miles and wouldn’t start this morning. No I didn’t leave the lights on they are set on Auto. Radio worked, still wouldn’t kick over to start. AAA came out to provide a jump, started up however the tech said battery wasn’t any good. I had to get to a patients home (visit nurse.) AAA tech stated the battery may die driving it to destination. I made it ? there and it started up to depart Then while on journey Jeep wouldn’t take off after stopped at a red light. I could hear the engine running. It was a few seconds before I could take off from light with plenty of fingers thrown at me and honking by people happy to be alive this new year (said sarcastically).

Anyone experience this? Could it be an electrical problem along with battery?

I’m at dealership now waiting for news. I’m spoiled owning Toyotas that never needed anything ?

It's a 22 so you can assume that battery could be a culprit. Car batteries aren't what they used to be. Especially COVID era. Cheaper, thinner materials. I'm curious about the failure to move at the light. You didn't mention any dash warnings... Did you get anything on the display ?

That’s a really good question. I was so irritated with everybody, honking at me and yelling at me. I live in Phoenix nobody’s got time for anyone causing delays that I didn’t even look. I will definitely be more alert to that in the future that question was very helpful to me. Thank you. I’m sitting in the dealer right now we’ll see what they say, I guess I am a little old-school in my thinking that there would be no way a 2 yr old battery would go bad. I really pray that that’s all it is. I enjoyed having Jeep . I’m 60 years old and female. I’ve been around cars and have bought several in my lifetime. I’d make a midlife crisis and buy a Jeep and I’m praying that I made the right choice.

If one of the batteries is bad replace them both.

Most batteries only have a 36 month warranty.

Gone are the days of the 60 month battery for most vehicles.

It's insane how awful car batteries are now. I had an old Toyota, and I swear in the almost 150,000 miles I had it for, I changed the battery once.
I missed the old Panasonic semi-translucent body lead acid batteries that Toyota' s came with back in the 80's and 90's. Could easily keep an eye on acid water level and top off as needed. Could easily get 7-8+ years out of those batteries.
