Or any trim, it’s not an option on the Rubicon either.
I wonder if the 'Recon' package will be available w/ the diesel ?
(assuming the package eventually finds its way to the JT)

Yeah, I didn’t realize opting for the diesel on the rubicon dumped the 4:10’s. F-ing lame
Not ‘lame’. 4.10 gears would spin the diesel above its power band in stock configuration.
Would be cool if 4.10’s were an option w/ 35’s tho

Even better! Diesel option gets you front level kit, wide axle 4:10’s, 35’s, manual fan, and aux oil cooler.

I ordered back on June 23rd and I’m not even sure if I’m getting my gladiator by December. After 4 weeks when I was still in the gathering parts for your build phase, I started asking Jeep chat why so many others were getting build dates and estimated ship dates as far out as November but I had heard nothing and they just said everything was fine and my Jeep would get built once the parts were gathered. When I talked to them yesterday I asked if it was even gonna get built since I’ve still heard nothing after 6 weeks and asked about what happens to my deposit if they don’t build it due to 2022 production starting soon. Rather than assure me they were building it like they have in the past they told me I’d have to contact my dealer about What happens to my deposit. Was a little bummed they don‘t seem as confident about it being built as they did in the beginning.
Hey, I'm just about to order a 21 Gladiator Sport S Gecko Green from Gupton and his estimate of 10-12 weeks for build/delivery. Is that the "normal" build time?

Yeah the ONLY time I'd want 4.10s with a diesel engine is if I had 37 inch tires. Otherwise it's WAY overkill.

I'm shocked they did 3.73s. The 3.45s out of the JL would have been the perfect fit.

People try to apply the principles of a 1990 3-speed auto behind a 4.0L gas engine to these new 8-speed autos with turbo-diesels, and you cannot do that. Totally different ballgame. Deep axle gearing these days is a detriment, not a benefit.

when I ordered my JTRD from Grupton on 7/12, he told me 8 weeks. Just got an update from him saying completion should be 8/31

They tell people that to be conservative. Both JTs I ordered two years apart both took exactly 3 weeks to build and 1 week to deliver.

With the 3.6L gasser, 4.10 is great, giving more gear for take-off with the 8 speed, and more overdrive with the transmission's double overdrive than the JK's 3.73 with 5-speed auto. With the diesel, as noted above, consider the rpm range of the power band vs. the overall gear ratios including the transmission,

I have no idea what normal build times are anymore and I don’t think anyone at Jeep does either. When I ordered back in June order estimates were 5 - 8 weeks, tomorrow will be 8 weeks and I’ve heard nothing since getting a VIN 2 days after my order was put in. No one can tell me why they won’t build my gladiator just that they’re gathering parts. I’d put in a new order with different options if they’d actually build it, but I don’t know what options are holding up my order and I don’t want to order a bare bones gladiator just to get it built. At this point I honestly don’t think they’ll build it before they switch over to 22 model year production so I guess I’ll have to put in a new order for a 22 when that happens and get to play the waiting game all over again. I’ve asked Jeep chat and Jeep Cares if they could tell me why my order isn’t being built so I could put a new order in, but no one will tell me.

I'm going to tow with mine so the 4xe version will probably have crappy towing and payload capacity. I'm holding out to see if they release a v8 version or max tow in anything other than sport or sport s (along with unconnect 5).
