I take it you have the mopar or Bolt style latch? How do you like it.

I may just have to waive the front trail camera if it can't be moved out of the way...The only thing I am likely to use the front camera for is so I don't smash the far wall in my garage (a tight fit overall).

Well, just talked to the local dealer...As suspected, the front trail camera is in the spot the front hood lock would need to be mounted...And no, the camera can't be moved. (It has a windshield washer too - wow, but the car has no hood lock LOL).

He first tried to convience me I am being paranoid, lol, I guess statistically I am, but it is good to disencentivise theft.

So it is ether forgo the camera, or put those 2 side locks on. The 2 side locks should provide disensentave to the casual theft too I think.

I went to a few dealerships in south florida and all of them were allowing me to order custom JTs I thought I might get a deal somehow if I settled for something they had on the lot already as the main thing I care about was color

Only reason I didn't jump on a 21 was because I was hoping they might release gobi or gator again in 22

Nothings impossible, it is just way, way, way less probably. All the dealers around me and many that I have searched more expanded outside my immediate area that were discounting a year ago, are all at MSRP with about 50% of them selling MSRP + ADM pricing.

Like others have mention unless you find a unicorn local dealer, it is best to deal with one of the dealership vendors here still accepting new orders and doing below invoice pricing.

Another thing to consider depending on state, is that new customer orders and the reason you can get below invoice pricing is that dealership orders for lot stock take a different tax hit for inventory tax versus a direct customer order and delivery. Shopping off of dealer on lot stock is a different financial dynamic and with COVID related market shortages, there is less incentive for them to sell below MSRP.

Also with the affiliate programs such as Tread Lightly going away at the end of the month, the discounts offered by the dealers on here aren't going to be quite as good as they used to....and 2022 is almost certain to have higher base and option pricing.

If you can wait then ordering from one of the forum dealers on here is going to be your best shot at getting under sticker price on these trucks.

2021 orders are closed so you'd have to wait for 2022 orders to open, then 2022 production to begin (~November?), and then wait for build. Maybe January 2022?

Yes, starting October 1 Stellantis is not accepting affiliate pricing on the Gladiator or the Wrangler.

It varies wildly, some folks get their Rubicons and Mojaves in a month or less while others end up waiting months. There are many variables that affect build time, most of which are a crapshoot at best.

BUT in general higher trim levels get built quickly while base ones sit for weeks on end.

Lots of sales staff are suprisingly out of the loop and there's many dealers out there that don't know the ins and outs of customer factory orders. I

Two of the CDJR's in my area were clueless when I asked about placing a factory order. One incorrectly stated they couldn't citing allocation (which doesn't apply to customer orders) and the other one flat out stated lot stock only, take it or leave it.

$2k on the base price of 49k (cdn). 4% increase, and I am assuming all the packages will see similar?
