Worn out not to sure but defective sure. It has now 600 miles onit; 100 from them.
Do you have a loaner? If you like your loaner, let them flail around all they want trying to find the problem.

No rental no loaner
Ugh. screw that.

I'd have a conversation with them about lemon law proceedings unless they provide you with an equivalent loaner. Chrysler will lean on them to do so to avoid having to buy it back.

I thought you had started a lemon law buyback?

Where in MA are you??

I had started the dealer buy back but it got canceled because the dealer in NJ didn't update my case file properly. Stellantis requested I bring to another dealer and let them try. That brings me to Stateline dodge in MA. I actually live in Newport Rhode Island now.

You're well beyond the limit for lemon law. Don't wait for Stellantis or the dealer to do a buy back. They'll drag their feet forever. Contact the BBB and their attorney's will assist with a lemon law case for free. I did that with an F150 and it was very painless.

What is a STAR case?
STAR = Service Technical Assistance Resource

A "case" means they are officially involved. It's sort of like when there were network issues that the help desk at PFG couldn't take care of and it was kicked up to the team I was on - there was a case number, and everything to do with it was logged and tracked until the issue resolved and the case was closed.

Don't tell me you are stationed at USCG Station Castle Hill?? That's a heck of an assignment.
If so, congratulations.
(I grew up on the shore in CT, parents had a cottage in Narragansett, currently live outside of Boston)

No my rating doesn't allow for such nice places haha. Choose your rate choose your fate. I'm on a larger ship in the area.

Solved. Ring and pinion was bad. Had a warped ring gear.
That is a weird one. Especially from the factory but hey, stuff happens. It's the same company (DANA) that has dozens (if not more) of leaking axle seals, so I guess, things ain't what they used to be.

*update*

brought the truck to the dealer this morning. had it all day...

The dealer called me around 1600, jeep is good to go, tires were off by .5oz.

I picked up the jeep,

nope still vibrating on the highway...

back to dealer tomorrow.

-edit I wrote that rather annoyed so I fixed grammar and spelling.
almost always a balance issue when that happens

Rear ring and pinion? Were there any other symptoms like noise? What is the production date of your gladiator? I've got one at aboit 70-75mph. Feels like the truck is jump roping and it's not that consistent feeling.

Glad you got it sorted. Maybe STAR engineers will add it to the list to check for the next victim instead of the typical runaround. Good luck moving forward!
