The hurricane I6 is relatively new, and very little is shared with current platforms. Currently there are two versions standard output and high output, I can bet if they put it into gladiator we will get the de tuned variant. Personally I would give it a year or two while engineers work out the kinks.

I’m hoping it becomes the new platform for the JT.
Std Output for base.
H.O. For mid-level
Hybrid version of std. for the Hercules pkg ?

I'd trade my ecoD for the I-6 as well. I"m tired of looking for the oil alone, plus my local store runs out of the DEF
Not to derail, but you fell into the MS-12991 trap. I did initially as well until I read my manual. You are allowed to use any API SP or SN rated oil. The first being the latest and greatest API rating introduced in 2020. The MS rating is “recommended”, but it is required to be API rated. The confusion came from the 2021 manual which was poorly worded and revised starting in 2022.

I have now been shopping just API rated which opens up a lot more options. Went with Motul this round.

See previous post highlighting manual revisions:

Zat mean they have the fuel pump fix ready?
Hopefully they have the next powerplant ready, hope it's the I-6TT with a hybrid option. (as opposed to 2.0L derated hybrid)
I6 is the only motor that would make me order new one. But its also dependant on pricing.

Pricing will likely be upwards of $50k to $70k start. Heck the Renegades are marked up $10 over MSRP already, so you know it's only going to go up. Especially with the UAW strike that might happen. I"d still buy it though with all the right equipment on it, especially the 4xe version if it's paired to the I-6. It'll have to match or exceed my current ecoD. I do love driving my diesel and it always catches people off guard at the pumps because lots of people didn't know it was offered in a diesel.

How about delivering ours before offering up new models. Mine was ordered in March and built in May ready to ship and moved to storage for the National stop sale on all diesels. so you cant even ship them today but you can take orders on new ones. Makes total sense to me.
There is a stop sale on diesel vehicles?

I don’t want this to become a politics thread, however, wasn’t the auto industry taking a look at diesel electric hybrids? Whatever happened to that?

We will see how long this takes order placed today- I’m betting October for delivery ??‍♂
For those that are making comments on the fuel pump- it would make sense that the new pumps are being implemented on the assembly line, if the Jeep went through a couple months ago before the parts were available, would need to go back through.

We have 22k miles on our 2022, edt added to every tank and knock on wood it’s been fine, also fine for the 300k miles on tdi’s using the same pump design.

For the price tag? Rubicon diesel with the options we wanted has been around 71-73k out the door for the last year. ??‍♂. This isn’t a sport or a sport s…. Heard of a few unicorn purchases of diesel gladiator rubicons…. Never met anyone outside of off the keyboard who actually paid one of these unicorn $55k unicorn fully loaded gladiators. ?
Those unicorn fully loaded Gladiators for $55k were out there, at least when I bought mine in 2021. The trick is the ones I found were Overlands, not Rubicons. I got my Overland for $53k out the door with all options but the Advanced Safety Group and that Bluetooth Speaker. True, you don't get the 4:1 transfer case, but if you don't need it you save a ton of cash with the Overland.

Ok, so again…. Where are the unicorns?? Lol an overland isn’t a rubicon, and the lockers and 4:1 are what I want in any Jeep we own…

I wish you could get a fully loaded rubi diesel for 55k. My diesel rubi landed at just under 70k before taxes and bs fees.
Both of ours did the same. 69,8xx for the 2022 rubi, and $72,xxx for the 23 far out rubi. The 23 has adaptive cruise…. When we ordered the 22, would have been a 6+ month wait on parts (so we were told….). So there’s part of the $1k difference the other is just inflation. ??‍♂

Stellantis is trying to offload the remaining unreliable diesel engines they have sitting on the shelf and putting them into “special” 2023 models (and adding a couple stupid late year end colors that nobody cares about.)
Stellantis execs have their heads up their asscraks. It’s disrespectful to the jeep community to try and pull cheap color options late in the year instead of Rolling out the 2024 Gladiator.

Other manufacturers (ford, GM, and Toyota have all rolled out small trucks that are out selling the Gladiator.) instead of getting their heads out of their asscraks Stellantis execs came up with a brilliant idea to roll out a couple new color options late in the year along with getting rid of the last engines off the shelf. (An engine that has been so unreliable for the company that they are ending it in all their brands)
The small/midsize truck market is so competitive right now that Stellantis is scrambling. But hey those couple limited late model year color options along with an engine that has had multiple recalls is just brilliant!

Has anyone had their FarOut orders show a build status and/or production date yet? I have an order in but still in D status. Thank you.
