I picked up two 2023 Farout Jeeps from Tasca Kingston NY. They sourced them through a Pennsylvania dealer that were allotted 7 or 8 of them. I purchased the first to flat tow behind the Newmar Essex in the rear of the first picture. I loved it so much that I purchased a second one so that I will have a Diesel for the long run.

My thinking exactly. Sad that regulations killed such a great drivetrain. Congrats on your new toys!

Thanks Gecko! At first I was thinking about putting the second one in a bag for 7 years or so but with the DEF system as well as other components sitting that lond I didn’t think that would be very wise either… new thought is to make the blue more of a daily driver and use the gray for the flat tow and limited non winter driving

i had no option for your color… Love it!!!

Nice find! Almost bought a Farout package but did not like the busy look of the black grill, hood and fender decal or painted fenders and top. Had to have High Velocity color found one and grabbed it 900 miles away. All the options on the Farout was always available before so found one very loaded with all the options for a killer price 25% off MSRP. Love the look of the Mopar bumper but it's steel and wanted the lighter aluminum clone. I'm surprised they did not put trail cam on the Farout packge? Only 190 Rubicon EcoDiesels left nationwide now.

I took a look online here in Ontario Canada. I don’t see any new diesels left on jeeps website. There might be a couple still around, but there was a bunch available before Jeep Canada implemented the 10% rebate in early March. Most dealers added an additional 5% discount which seams to be doing the trick moving the 23’s.

In my opinion, diesel was killed in 2007.5 with not only the advent of the DPF and regen (later to include SCR and DEF), but the unconscionable "5 mph Max Speed in 100 mi, Service Emissions System, See Dealer" nonsense.

I do not know how it was ever allowed, much less mandated, that such overreaching emissions controls could willfully endanger human lives. The emissions-laden diesels are simply not safe out on the open roads where dealers are not within said distance.

to be honest I was very disappointed when they announced this model just 2 months after I bought my ā€˜23 JTRD. But I’m so confused, after the FarOuts being advertised as the fully loaded send-off of the diesel, I have yet to see one even close to fully loaded. Most don’t have Aux switches, none have adaptive cruise control, and none have the front trail cam. Do they have SelecTrac 4WD like some of the websites claimed or is it the RockTrack like on all other Rubicons?

They got the emissions mandate passed by overstating actual diesel particulate emissions by 900%. There was also a requirement for a 100k mile emissions warranty, but the lobbyists for the manufacturers killed that. They knew they couldn’t build systems that would work long term.

Agreed--No select trac or mechanical differences at all. I specifically looked for a 2023 that was NOT a far out edition. No offense to those that like the stickers, but they're just a little too much in my opinion. I also think that the only color the unpainted grill looks good on is white--looks a little unfinished on the other colors. That grill also killed the trail cam option--having a "far out" model without trail cameras doesn't make much sense? Adaptive cruise was also one of my must haves, so as much as I would have liked to have a "final edition" the one that Jeep offered didn't even come close to what they should have come to the market with.........

I think, to get a fully loaded farout, you’d have to order one. I was going to order back in August, but paying full pop while getting nothing on my trade squashed the appeal of that deal. It is strange that the farout package only includes the base soft top, not even a premium one. Having said that, I do really like this truck…the diesel drivetrain is ideal for the gladiator. IMHO, the diesels will be the sought after gladiator in the future.

I found mine on a dealer lot. Build = FarOut + black hard top + hard top head liners.
MSRP = $75,050

I'd hate to see the MSRP with adaptive cruise control and trail cam added.

I bought a ā€˜23 loaded JTRD. Had it all except trail cam and body color roof for $60k. The dealer also threw in the parts so I could install the trail cam and installed insulated headliner installation. Oh yeah, I guess mine was missing the trail rail stuff and bedliner so they threw in that stuff too. I did install the outlet in the bed which was pretty easy. Again, I just do not understand the ā€œloaded diesel Rubiconā€ when it’s not even close to loaded. The trail cam was heck of an install and I would never attempt the adaptive cruise control.
Nonetheless, this diesel engine is, to me, the perfect engine for this truck and I’d hop on one in a heartbeat if I had to do it all over again. Just not sure I’d ever pay FarOut prices for what appear to me as a bait and switch. These FarOuts are NOT fully loaded.
