**Checks sticker and sees dealer is already giving $3K off without blinking on a $10K option package**

Looks like the trick will be to wait until December to buy a Mojave X at 15-20% off MSRP just like the '23's.
Looks like 4K now

I got a chance to see a 2024 JL Rubicon X in the showroom the other day, and the interior looks 10x better in person than in photos. Further, everything with the interior seems like a slightly higher grade of both fit-and-finish as well as higher quality and better-fitting plastics. It's really hard to quantify, but it looked more like a premium vehicle – the more premium Nappa leather on the X model doesn't look as out of place as it did on the previous year models. One specific example of the interior finish level would be the new dash "mesh" material. It's not a fabric, it feels like woven carbon fiber or some sort of composite material – like what plastic-coated aramid fiber (Kevlar) would look like.

Still not saying it was worth the $71K MSRP, but at least it does look slightly more upscale than the 2023.

$70k opens up the door to a world of possibilities. God Bless all who can afford it but a midsize truck at that price point doesnt make much sense to me

I think they realized they messed up. Competition is stiff and the issues the brand has had to deal with are reasons that their dealer inventory are so high. That and the strike, Jeep is not in a good place.

I will keep my 2021 rubicon thank you.

And that will probably be the last “NEW” jeep i buy. sad to say as I finally got back into the Jeep family in 2017.

Going forward I will most likely look at used based on what I am seeing with build quality and options pricing.

I think fca has a case of poser-itis. Posing as a luxury brand when the wrangler and gladiator are not those things. You want a luxury vehicle buy a Mercedes, Lexus etc. okay maybe the grand wagoneer too.

Many years ago, some Germans said the main reason they were after Chrysler was for Jeep.

Then several years later, some Italians said something similar, and the Ram truck line was icing on the cake.

Jeep will survive but Stellantis may not in its current form. They have made some seriously bone headed maneuvers since Sergio Marchionne died.

Seems like a nice package. I've never really understood power seats if I'm the only driver; I'm going to adjust it once...
Same... and power seats never age well. My 91 Supra and my 06 Commander both got really slow and strained to move into some positions, especially after being driven in near the same position for all those years.

Interest rates should be at least a full point lower by then too. Buying anything on a loan right now is idiotic when The Fed and Fannie Mae are talking about multiple rate reductions this year.
If it's an impulse purchase, yes, you are correct.

But if you're stuck with taking on debt because your other vehicle is shot, doesn't fit your needs, etc...at least it is better than it was 6 months ago.

Nothing about this truck suggests its worth $70000. it literally is $18000 more than a fully loaded Colorado ZR2 that has everything it does except a removable top.

You know the last thing I'm thinking about out on the trails is..."I wish my power seat had a memory." "This leather sure is plush". "This gigantic screen sure is nice."

I know I'm kind of ranting here but I was out this weekend for the day on my monthly trip and could have cared less about that stuff. Front sway bar disconnect, 4H/4L, off-road+ on occasion and the rear locker are what I'm thinking of. Front locker if I'm in up to my rock rails in rocks but hat's few and far between.

The stuff we're complaining about Jeeps not having and then they add it then the price goes up then we complain that the price went up...when does it end?

Now, the full float axles...come on...give that to us! That's a reliability thing. My Gladiator is fully loaded for a 2020. I just want useful upgrades to make it more dependable and sturdy. Give us the some fender flare extensions...throw us a bone where it matters! (or at least matters to me.)

But the problem is a lot of the things you care about can be had in trucks costing 15-20k less but far better equipped. You also still have to daily drive the thing unless you just have spare cars and can park it until you actually need it.

Mostly loaded canyon at4, 70k+, Colorado zr2 bison 65k+, trd pro 65k+, ranger raptor 60k+...

All the top off road models are in the 60-70k range. There are relatively cheap gladiators all the way to really expensive gladiators. Obviously there must be a market or none of the truck makers would be making trucks in that price range.
