Agree I’m curious how this will affect production start dates. Will they move back or cancel 23’s that aren’t on the line by x date.

also how much of a delay will it be to fire up these furnaces and get these parts produced again.
no kidding. I went in a few weeks back with hopes of building a 23’ and was told it was closed. (Also couldn’t find a new one optioned like I wanted)
Went back to build a 24’ and then to be told sorry we don’t have a price(really don’t understand the stupidity that lets you order a vehicle but doesn’t price it). Now I have an idea of where I’m at but can’t see putting $500 down and getting blown out the water with the price and not being able to afford it.

As far as production they will probably be back at it in a couple weeks. Doubt it will change things to much. Hopefully

agree. Don’t understand how they can release it, seek it, and not price it. I’ll pull he trigger once the pricing is released and the strikes over. Hoping I should get it by spring.

So it sounds like no one here has used the site to build a Grand Cherokee.
What you all are describing is how the GC has been for years. Choose the level you want, there are perhaps up to 6 packages, and that's that. Almost everything most people may want in that line is standard on a couple levels.
When we ordered a new Limited a while back (she has since traded for her purple JLU) we only had to say "limited with tow package" and it had all of the other stuff - because it was the limited. No need to pick around for various things - it came that way.
Perhaps they are just moving the JT and JL to what they've always done on the other lines?

I think the 'X' option muddy's the water, especially when something as huge as an upgraded seat option is hidden behind it

Lol wife pretty much talked me into it (final push so to speak) I pulled the trigger today and ordered a rubicon X.
only thing I didn’t get that I wanted was a soft top so will have to purchase one next summer, but that’s a problem for another day.

People sell them brand new all the time for a discount....keep eye on forum. Guys who bought off the lot with dual top group and never wanted it.

No not yet but I had already made my mind up on a new car which wife pointed out and I’m getting what would make
Me happy.
Haven’t bought a new vehicle since my 2006 Chevy truck.

I don't know if Tesla is like this, but whoever figures out how to cut dealers out of the picture (including ordering, my ordering process was so unnecessary at the dealer, I got things I didn't ask for and didn't get the spray in bed liner I did ask for) is going to become very popular with millenials and zoomers. I know there's laws that you can't order directly from the manufacturer so dealers can earn their markup... praise capitalism!

Yep. All I want is to build and order online, and have it shipped to a nearby depot or my home. They don't need to get rid of dealers, the boomers still need their "firm handshake" deals, and people like the service centers. But give us the option to skip that whole experience.

Completely agree.

and yes the Tesla experience for buying a car is awesome. No haggling, no back and forth. You order it as you want, get a date, and then go pick it up.
