I recently upgraded from a 2021 Mojave in Sting Grey to the new 2025 MojaveX in the limited color, Fathom Pearl Blue. I recently noticed that there is an access panel in the bed of the Jeep.

I asked the sales rep about it, and he mentioned that it’s likely for an internal air compressor/inflator, similar to what the JL 392 has.

What are your thoughts on this?

For those interested in the build process of the MojaveX, you can follow my Instagram at @312overland

I might consider doing something custom for that new compartment area.

Interesting. I have a 25 Mojave X coming in the next few days - will have to look for that. Could be handy as I've wondered about onboard air or other accessories built into the bed but not interfere with a truck tent.
(I don't do instagram so will only see things here)

One thing of note here is that this is different from the small square panel on the right side of the box. That one gets bedliner sprayed all over it, and you have to cut through the bedliner to pop the panel out to do what I did installing a 12v outlet and USB chargers in that spot.

In this case above - the plastic cover goes on AFTER the bedliner. Why not do it like the other cover on the other side?

I believe they did. Would need to check later this evening.

Noticed this also on my 2025 Sport that was lacking in my last 3 Gladiators. Never drilled down on what this was about.

I asked at the dealership today, after seeing this - does it look familiar? It's a 2025 Ram pickup.

They said - in preparation for the electric versions and PHEV versions to do similar to what the later Wrangler 4xe does - electrical power run from the HV batteries.
That makes sense as you can already get a Wrangler 4xe with an option that called something like a "power pack" or whatever that runs off the mains of the JLU 4xe.

So it's in those, the Dodge Ram trucks and now the Gladiators..........

I wouldn't bet my truck on it, but the guys i asked do go to classes to get some training and certification on some of the upcoming features. So I'd figure it carries at least a little more weight than all of the guesses all over the internet right now.
And the location matches the spot for the power pack in the JLU 4xe - left rear side.

I cant say what its for right now but have confirmed 24+ models have new part numbers for both left and right side inner bed panels.

- Benny
I assume that means the small square opening is gone at the rear of the right panel. I never thought to look there on mine!

Is this area gone on the 24s and 25s? It's where the 115v bed power from the inverter used to go.
Makes sense if they are moving it over to the left that they'd have it higher.

Interesting - Benny suggested the right side panel had a different part number.
I figured maybe that bit was thus gone in favor of the other side.
Oh, well, it was just a guess anyway.

@ShadowsPapa Looks like we have our answer as my crappy diagrams would not have shown this.

- Benny
Makes me wonder why a change in part number for that right interior bed panel if that stays the same. "what changed" (other than some guy in the design department wanted to make a rib 1/8" different to prove he was busy LOL)
