I've got a '22 Rubicon Ecodiesel purchased in May. The oil pressure warning light has come on twice in the first 10K miles due to it needing more oil. Took a quart the first time and 1/2 quart the second time. Not related to being on unlevel/uphill/downhill -- always just driving on reglar roads. And there's no oil leaks showing up on the ground in my driveway.

Any other EcoD owners experiencing something similar? Should I expect it to burn oil during the break-in?

Your likely to use a few qts in brake in. Actually if I recall it’s in your owners manual to expect it. It depends on the truck just how much you go through and how you drive it too. I hooked mine to a 6k trailer and pulled the fuck out of it at 300 Miles. I burned about a qt in brake in now it don’t burn any off but it is leaking lol.

Great question. (I'd forgotten I posted this.) The good news for me is that after initially burning over a quart of oil during the initial break-in period (10K miles), it burned nary a drop (non-scientific assessment.) I've had no further problems.

So my advice to other Ecodiesel owners is watch things vigilantly during the initial burn in as you'll probably need to add some oil or more. But after the first oil change, you should be able to relax a bit and just check the customary "occassionally."

??? good deal we have three in the family. All three consumed a quart sometime between 4-7k miles. And consumption has been zero since… except our gray gladiator… it has had a timing chain cover leak for a hot minute…. Big enough leak to make a mess on the front of the motor- but never enough to show on the stick or make a drop in the driveway. Might get fixed next oil change ??

Good thing is that we still have dipstick in the engine.
Quite a number of modern motors don't have it anymore.

Mine is consuming approx 1/2 quart every 4 k miles but I am not sure if the consumption has been reduced with rising milage (actual 9 k)

My EcoDiesel consumed oil for the first 20,000 miles or so in the 2020 Ram. I recently bought a 2023 Gladiator EcoDiesel, so I'm anticipating similar oil consumption.
