Yes I know I'll catch flak for even mentioning 22's here but I am looking to create something a little different.

2020 Gobi Mojave.
I will be installing 2" AEV lift with geo correction and dual stabilizers
I go back and forth between 35/37" tires but seriously considering the 22x12 wheels

I average about 10,000 miles per year.
I live in Florida, there's no rock crawling or desert running here. It rarely sees dirt lol.
Anyone running this setup?
Thoughts? Concerns?

If it were me I would get what I want and not ask others what to do with my truck cause it's mine . And if you get the 22's yes you will get some guff but all in good fun cause in the Jeep hood all is good .

Yes yes… do it! The question is do you want more of that low pro look or little extra meat on the tires with the 37’s

Your Jeep, you do you any way you want.

The only thing I will say, the taller the wheel, the less shock absorbing capability of the tire.
With a 22" wheel and a 37" tire you will have less than 7.5" side wall. Same tire on a 16" wheel gives you less than 10.5" of side wall.

That's the only area I can say you might see a problem.

What the price difference between 17" and 22" tires of the same size?

22x12 i'd hope you're running at least 13.5 width tires. 12.5 tires on a 12.0 rim doesn't sound particularly great to me. 35x13.50s are hard to find from my memory.

12 inch wide rims are going to require some mighty offset. You're going to be the guy riding 22s with ridiculous poke. Not sure why anyone wants to be that guy, but if you do, it's your money. Have fun looking like a roller skate

I’m ”that guy” I guess. I have 22s on my rubicon when I’m daily driving but have 17s on 35s for any off-roading. 22s are on 35s also. i love the way it drives. It’s not for everyone but like others have said do what you like. With the bigger tires the rims don’t look that big. And I could care less what anyones opinions. Adults that care what others think of what they like aren’t adults imo.

I agree with your point. On a side note, it's not possible to run a 16" wheel on a Gladiator due to the brakes.

I ran 22x10's with 37's & 40's on my '20 gasser and now have 20x12 with 40's on my diesel. I had/have no issues. The wider the wheel/more backspacing you have, the quicker your ball joints will wear but if you're not doing much offloading even that won't be much of an issue.
