Thinking about going from my stock Falken MT’s to 315/70’s to Bfgoodrich Ko 2 or Ko 3 on the stock Mojave rims. Anyone that has done this what are your likes & dislikes about the change?

Save yourself some time and money and go straight to 37
I get what you are saying. 37’s look great. Don’t want to do a gear change plus I only do light trails. Will be adding a 2” AEV lift also.

35's are perfect on stock Mojave's! I loved mine. I am on 37's now, they provide the obvious benefits of looks and more clearance, but they also take away from braking and acceleration and gas mileage.

Any idea how big of hit you took on gas mileage?

From 33's to 35's I couldn't tell you as I had the tires swapped in the 1st week, same when I got the replacement Mojave (1st one was stolen), went to 37's within a week. I can tell you that I see the mileage suffering more with 37's if there is any headwind or when I have my canoe on the roof. Being in Canada I go with litres per 100km and see as low as 13L/100k on ideal road trips, but that is keeping speeds close to 100kmh/60mph, on trips with headwinds and higher speeds I see as bad as 17L/100km.

Have run 35s for over 3 yrs, put on week 1 in 2021. Adjusted tire size with Jscan, MPG dropped about 1 mpg .. 35s heavier.. BTW .. wheels are not Stock; 8.5" wide with 4.5" back space.. No rub, see them in my avatar.

I have 35” ish BFG K02s on AEV Salta IIs calibrated for size increase and calculated gearing from 4.10 to 3.92 No substantial changes to performance Or towing a 20’ boat to the keys. I still get 8th gear on the highway.

I put a 2 inch spacer on and falcon 35x11r17. Factory rims. It rides great. I love it. Just got a compliment about it yesterday at the stop light.

I was cautious about it bc I didn’t want to regear for 37’s. I live in a low elevation area, mostly flat, no hills. When these tires are done I will be going with 37’s.

IF I am not mistaken, the BFG KO3s in that size are 12 ply tires, (Load Range F), which will have much stiffer sidewalls and deffinetly affect ride,. The BFG KO2s are still 6 ply tires (Load Range C2) but the max air pressure is 35 PSI. Your stock tires are load range C1.

I am running 35"x12.50"x17" Falken ATW3 on the stock Mojave rims and the 2" AEV Mojave specific spacer lift with no issues. Not sure where you live, but I would go with BFG AT/KO3 over the KO2 as they are better on trail and in the snow.
