37” spare tire - list of tires that fit under the bed

This is my first truck.... I'm guessing most people get 5 tires when they go 37's? Then just mount the 5th 37" tire to the spare wheel? Or do you still get 5 wheels and tires like on a wrangler and mount the spare wheel/tire under the truck?

Just put the spare on the factory wheel and limp off of the trail. You might rub a little but who cares.

I went with a matching spare wheel, but I will also be doing 5 tire rotations.

I don't know if anyone has posted yet about a diesel, but my 37 12.5 17 on 8.5" wide wheels fit the spare location like a glove. I do have the clayton rear trackbar as well and it cleared it by an inch.

Good to know! I'm bout to throw one 37" Gdbber X3's on, so I'll see if it fits(also diesel)

Quick question before buying upgrade ... I have the 3" Rock Krawler Lift without the 4-point cradle and love it; however, a 37 Toyo M/T does not fit under the Gladiator. Can anyone confirm fitment of the spare with the pro-x upgrade ?? @rockkrawlersuspension

It's tight, but I got the spare up there with 37psi, 37x12.5r17 Falken A/T3W. Wheel is mounted pretty side up. I may let a bit of air out later.

Yea I think Toyo runs higher. I had a set of 255/85/16 on my KJ and they were 33.5

Gonna throw out a question. anyone able to fit a 37” Mickey Thompson AtzP3 in there on stock steel spare wheel? Seems largish compared to 37s KM3s

I would call this a YMMV thing for offroading... If you run a beadlock or rash ring at all then pretty face down means if you hit your probably hitting the ring that should take the abuse instead of the wheel itself.


I am debating on getting a 18" spare & slapping on one of the 37x11.50r18 tires... Just to tuck it up a bit higher. SOmeone really should make a 37" donut.. haha

i really wish someone would make a 37x11.50r17 tire!

Im looking at trying the 37” General a/tX. Being able to fit in the stock location is going to determine my tire size.

going to see if a shop will do a mount and trial on 37 with the agreement ill buy 35’s from them if it doesnt fit. I really like the ATX and hd great luck with them in Africa.

edit: although the price difference between 35 and 37 is nuts. $286 vs $424

PLEASE UPDATE:

NEXEN TIRE ROADIAN MTX 37X12.5 aired down to 25psi FITS
With Heat shield. It's snug but fits.

@Northridge4x4 has my AEV wheels on the way. Trying to work with @Discount Tire on test mounting a 37” Grabber A/TX to the spare location. Hoping it fits so I can run the Generals and report back here.

So much smoother than stock or a standard lift. It makes a huge difference. I have a Fabtech 3 in lift and adding the 4 link from Rock Krawler made if much much better.
