I want to do the same (38s with the Mopar 2" lift). Please post more pics of your gladiator and close up of the tire clearances.

Does it rub when hitting potholes or big bounces in the road?

Looks great, but offroad you're going to make contact with those tires. I'm running 2" lift w/37's and in the snow here in Utah, I'm getting some rubbing. No issues on dirt/pavement thus far, but I sure get some contact in the snow..

Do you have a Rubicon? If so, does it matter that the fender flares are higher?

Not a Rubicon. I'm running a Sport-S.. And, as far as I can tell, I seem to be rubbing on the inside (plastic between engine and tire), not the fender flare.

@BruteForce What's the offset for your wheels? Do you think that may be why your rubbing inside?

This is true! I also have not used a tuner to change the tire size yet...I downloaded a GPS speedometer app on my phone and am between 6-10 mph off. So my RPMs are actually a little closer to what I expected them to be. I was really doing ~80 when my rpms were at 2500.
For what it's worth I had 5.13 gears on my other 2011 JKU with the 4 speed tranny and in 4th gear at 70mph I was hitting around 2200 rpm and my mpg was around the same on 35in tires. The real issue is not power. The new JTs have plenty of it with the 8 speed. The issue is going to be wear over time with ball joints etc. The ball joints Jeep uses are cheap plastic and wear quickly. Steering components will wear fast as well. Personally the 37in tire is the new 35in. I wheel my JT a lot and I opted to go 35in and I regret it. It really sucks going around stuff while everyone else climbs stuff and has fun. I tell anyone who will listen. If you don't really need a truck and you are serious about wheeling get a JL or JLU don't get the Gladiator. All I do is get high centered and drag my bumper on everything.

You should really be running a 3.5 or 4in lift for 37s offroad. You can daily on pavement with a 2.5in, but even with Rubicon fenders you will rub.

I was running 37’s on my Sport S 6 speed manual with the original 3.73 gears. And no lift. It wasn’t too bad but could never use 6th gear. Finally got around to putting in 4.56 gears and that made a huge difference in starting off in first. After that I decided to get 38” tires and the factory 2” lift installed. I actually put on the 38” tire about 2 weeks before lift and there was no rubbing with street driving. Before I lifted it I upgraded to the 2 piece rubicon fenders so I could do the fender chop. I also installed the Quake LED fender lights and Artec aluminum inner fender liners. Between the lift and new fender set up I went from 4” fender clearance to almost 10” of course after installing 38” tires I had to come up with a new mounting solution for my full sized spare tire

I trimmed part of the removed lower rear section of rear flares and reinstalled to cover the gap. Much more finished appearance

That's what was confusing me. That look awesome!! So you removed the bottom part of the fender but were able to reconnect the lower portion? I haven't seen that yet...do you have any pics of the process?

Sorry I don’t. I kept a small piece of the brace that connects the two and used existing connectors, new plastic rivets and some 3M double sided tape to secure parts. Want to avoid trying to fuse them or put a couple screws in. So far they are holding together great.

I love my 35" Duratracs. I wish they made them in 38s. I saw a video with 37 vs 35 " Duratracs and difference seemed minimal. I don't think I see any wear on those things even after 25k miles.
