4 inches of bump isn't insane at all. I have 37s and chopped rubi fenders with 2 inches of bump up front and I definitely need to add 1" more bump minimum

Reasonable then! I thought about this for a few extra moments and.... I had 285/75r17 on my 2020 Overland purchased Nov 2019 now that I think back as it was 4 rigs ago.... It had a JKS 3.5 inch lift that had 2 inch bump stop extensions. Stock sport 17 inch rims with stock fenders and a 35x11.5 would have been fully maxed out for size. The 35 vs the 285 is only 0.7 taller. At this time with the Mojave I'm really not wheeling it like I did my JK's a few yrs ago. This is really what makes my tires fit most likely haha

You have Rubi fenders?

I'm currently running 2" front, 1" rear, 4.75" BS wheels, and 38x12.50 Ridge Grappys on a Rubi diesel. A gas truck will likely require 3-4" front bump spacer.

You certainly don't want to end up like a stock diesel without enough up travel and bottoming all the time?
Pic with the 38's? HOw do you like them?

I have a 2.5 Clayton lift with 38 inch Milestar tires no issue what so ever on the street. I have not had a chance to take it off road yet.

I'm on the fence as to whether it was worth it or not traction or perfomance wise. I did it to split the difference in gearing between 37 and 38 plus it looks cool. I was hoping for a better ride off road when aired down too.

Doing my first real desert trip next week with proper shock tuning, so we will know soon!

Nice truck! Did you re-gear? If so l, Manual or auto. Any other up grades to Axles? I’m really wanting to go 38s

410 gears, auto. Iam getting 18 MPG. Granted I only do 65 on the highway. My average speed is 45-55.

plenty of vertical clearance, however turning only gets me 1 and 1/2 rotations before it rubs

2.5" AEV dualsport, borah wheels +25mm offset), gutted inner fenders. It's a Rubicon, so highline flares. 38/13.5 wildpeak RT01. I get a little rub at full stuff and lock, but that was aired up. Haven't gotten a chance to air down and try.
